About this mod Machine translation

A simple texture replacement gold coin with Titus' Mede's face on it.

Users on the forums pointed out minor issues with the graphics on the gold coins used throughout the game. Most imperial dynasties make sure the current emperor's image appears on the face of their coins, and since the empire in TES V is no different than the Roman dynasties, he wonders why they haven't used Titus Mede's face. His topic can be found here: topic/7650528 -a-matter-that-was-never-adressed-tiber-septim-on-imperial-coins/

I asked how easy this would be to solve and the result - Titus Mede is now on the front of the Imperial Currency. His appearance is based on his NPC record in the game data.

Unfortunately because the term "septims" is used a lot in a lot of spoken dialogue, this only replaces the texture on the coins, but it doesn't stop people from continuing to call them Septims. Given Skyrim's political climate in 4E 201, this actually seems appropriate.

Installation requirements

A working copy of Skyrim or Skyrim Special Edition.

Installation - Wrye Bash BAIN

Drag and drop the archive into the Skyrim Special Edition Mods\Bash Installers folder and install as usual.

Installation - Mod Manager / Vortex

Use the "Download with Manager" button on the Skyrim Special Edition page. The installer should take care of things from there.

Installation manual

Extract the archive into the Data folder. That’s all.

uninstall

This is entirely a texture replacer. Removing it will not have any adverse effects on your game.

Load order

Unrelated, but obviously if you want to see it you should make sure no other coin alternatives are installed.

compatibility

There shouldn't be any compatibility issues other than another texture mod that does the same thing.

integral

Kingtobbe - He did a great job replacing the textures.

Hana - Adjustments to make lighting more correct.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
