Head tracking based on camera movement

need

=========

SKSE64

SkyUI

describe

===========

This mod allows the player's head to follow the camera movement in a third-person perspective

It works the same way hiryuu19 did for Skyrim's camera directional head tracking mode. Highly inspired but completely rewritten thanks to the use of the SKSE64 plugin.

There are 3 modes with 3 corresponding keys, configurable in the MCM menu:

Mode "Follow camera"

In this mode, the player's head moves with the camera, looking in the same direction

Press key again to stop mode

Mode "Look at the scenery"

In this mode, the player's head is facing the screen, as if looking at us. This mod doesn't exist in hiryuu19's Skyrim mod, but it's not very useful but fun :)

Press key again to stop mode

Mode "Hold pose"

In this mode, activated after one of the previous two modes, the player's head is locked in its orientation.

Press again to return to the previous mode

Manual installation

---------------------

  • Copy the mod's "Data" folder in the game directory (...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition)
  • Activate the plugin using your mod manager

uninstall

==============

In game, stop head tracking and save before uninstalling the mod

compatibility

=============

Activating the mode at the same time then another head tracking module will conflict. Maybe suitable for other uses.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
