About this mod Machine translation
Bored trying to walk towards an NPC at the same speed? Would you be crazy if you could only walk slowly or run fast? Are you jealous of controller users who can easily adjust their speed? This mod is the solution, use your mouse wheel to dynamically adjust your speed!
scroll speed continues
describe:
Scroll speed continues for people who use a keyboard and want to be able to control their speed like they would with a gamepad controller.
Why use this mod?
You can walk or run like an NPC without changing speed
The transition from walking to running is smoother and looks natural
It mimics an analog controller, which is more convenient than Bethesda handling controls via keyboard
Speed step increments are configurable through the MCM so it is compatible with every module that edits actor speed
How about it?
In its default configuration:
You can use the mouse wheel to adjust the speed from slow walking to top speed running. The modifier keys (left shift by default) are used to let you use the mouse wheel to zoom when needed.
You can reverse the way the mod handles modifier keys, so the mouse wheel operates normally and pressing the modifier key adjusts the speed.
Important reminder!
Since there is no way to disable the default camera zoom functionality via script, I had to call Interface Hard Coded Key Tweaks via crazy g to adjust the controlmap.txt and set the Zoom functionality to other keys (PageUp and PageDown). You can choose not to install it during mod setup, but you will have to change the bindings in the MCM as having both on the mouse wheel is unreliable.
I recommend you configure your keyboard as follows:
Sprint on“Left Alt”
Go on the right Alt (or other key, you'll never use it again)
Differences from the original mod
Smooth transitions by using 8 speed increments instead of 4
When you sprint the player accelerates to maximum speed instead of "sprinting slowly" (looks weird)
Sprint speed is always maximum and cannot be adjusted.
need:
The latest SKSE and SkyUI are able to configure mods.
How to install:
This mod requires SKSE, unzip the archive and place it as usual, follow the instructions if you use a mod manager.
Loading order does not matter, this mod will not overwrite any records from the original game or other mods.
How to update:
Unless special instructions are specified, overwrite the existing file with the new one, start the game and enjoy!
(Don't forget to note down your settings before, they won't be saved)
compatibility:
It should be compatible with everything.
May conflict with spells or models that slow players down. Do not change speed when this happens.
Can be combined:
This pattern should be mergeable
license:
As long as you share your mod with the same permissions, you are free to use the resources in this mod.
integral:
Thanks to Arindel (omega2008) for the original mod and his open access

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
