About this mod Machine translation
You have more to say. The NPC has more to say. This mode adds various inconsequential dialogues to existing NPCs.
More Say adds inconsequential dialogue for NPCs, consisting of NPC greetings and miscellaneous lines from the same speech type. Fully voiced using existing sound files from Skyrim Special Edition. It aims to stay true to each NPC's character and story, although some liberties are taken to add depth to the characters. Currently, this module covers Riverwood's NPCs.
feature
- Miscellaneous conversations with Riverwood NPCs.
- Fully voiced using original game files.
- After a lovely letter is completed, players can repair their relationship with Sven or Faendal.
NPCs include: Sven, Faendal, Hilde, Alvor, Sigrid, Dorthe, Embry, Gerdur, Hod, Frodnar, Stump, Organar, Delphine, Lucan, Camilla.
Install/Uninstall
To install, download the main file using your favorite mod manager. Or download and unzip the archive and place the two files (esp and bsa) in the Skyrim data directory.
To uninstall, just delete esp and bsa. Warning: This mod adds some scripts. My understanding is that uninstalling destroys your active save and you have to start a new game. Generally speaking, uninstalling mod mid-playthrough is a bad idea, regardless of whether it works for you or not, it is not supported.
Load order and compatibility
Use LOOT to set your load order. Otherwise... I guess, more to say somewhere in the middle? Since More to Say mainly adds new records, it doesn't really matter.
This mod should be compatible with almost everything. It is highly encouraged to use No NPC Greetings (Special Edition) or similar modes to reduce the frequency of NPC greetings. Any found incompatibilities will be reported here.
On the other hand, if you drastically change Riverwood, the main quest, or Civil War in the load order, there may be a slight "dissonance" (if NPCs say irrational things about your game).
My test is done:
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
Immersive Citizenship – AI Overhaul SE
Alternative Beginning - Live Another Life
No NPC greeting (Special Edition)
Better dialogue control
Relationship Conversations Overhaul - RDO SE
All of these are highly recommended.
A note on repeatability
While not strictly required, using No NPC Greetings (Special Edition) (or a similar mode that limits how often you hear greetings) is highly recommended. I have to choose whether to remove the greeting I use in my NPC greeting loop. If I remove the greeting, the chance of you hearing the same line twice from the same NPC decreases. But this may mean that patches may need to be provided for an unknown number of other mods that edit these greetings. I chose to allow greater compatibility and leave a greeting. As a bonus, it makes working with this mod easier too.
Keep in mind that as far as I can tell, even the most aggressive No NPC Greetings won't prevent you from hearing NPC greetings: NPCs can still offer them when you enter the conversation, not when they're 100 feet away.
so. When reporting a bug, please tell me about the duplicate lines that bother you, but let me know if you use No NPC Greetings. Keep in mind that there are only a lot of logged lines in Skyrim. Sometimes the only options available are "meh", "mediocre" and the same thing I just used. So, while I may feel your pain, I may not change/fix every instance of repeated dialogue. I hope you understand.
I found during testing that, at least for myself, using No NPC Greetings, the repeatability of the lines was within acceptable parameters. Your travel costs may change. This mod may not be suitable for everyone. But I hope you'll give it a chance. :)
FAQ
Q: Are there any plans to move outside of Riverwood?

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
