S'hani the Grey

S'hani is a completely independent follower: what you see is what you get. She has a custom glowing full body tattoo and custom Summon Familiar spell. Available in UNP and CBBE versions.

Treat S'hani as a "vanilla+" minion. She has a unique appearance, a few custom spells, a simple AI package, a few lines of custom dialogue (not voice behavior), and is on her own frame.

She should:

• Compatible with your favorite follower management modes (e.g. AFT, Nether's)
• Picked up and detected by other mods that affect followers

Instructions for CBBE users:

-S'hani the Gray - CBBE - Exactly the same as her UNP version except you may have a glitch with her glowing tattooed armor. I already configured CBBE with her glow suit, so it works the same. The file is provided as-is (I personally don't use CBBE and decided I didn't like making clothes/armor from scratch).

-S'hani the Gray is a completely separate Khajiit minion: what you see in the image is how she will appear in your game.

• She comes with a custom glowing tattoo "armor" that players can equip her with. S'hani has a non-luminous full body tattoo at all times; the luminous tattoo overlaps the non-luminous tattoo.

-S'hani has a custom Summon Familiar spell (she summons a sword cat!) and specializes in Shock spells.

• She's on her own minion frame, so she doesn't affect your minion count. Don't worry, she is compatible with most follower management mods (e.g. AFT, EFF, Nether's...), just make sure you "import" or "add" her to those management mods.

-S'hani has a simple AI package that keeps her "alive" in Riften: she sleeps in Haelga's dormitory, eats breakfast and dinner at Bee and Barb, and enjoys checking out the market in the afternoons.

-S'hani has some custom dialogue lines (no voice acting at the moment). Be sure to turn on subtitles!

Technical details:

-S'hani's fiery tattoos are separate armors for her feet, hands and torso. They occupy body slots 44, 45 and 60 respectively. The glowing tattoo armor is supposed to overlap her full body tattoos and it's always there so you can't see the regular body tattoos underneath. If you're a screen shooter and look really close, you might notice some spots where the glowing tattoo doesn't sit perfectly on top of her non-glowing tattoo.

• Because S'hani's glowing tattoos are equippable armor, this means some mod-added armor/clothes will be incompatible: experiment and see what you can do!

-S'hani's Glow Tattoo fits standard UNP and CBBE _0&_1 body mesh. Any armor/clothing that doesn't use the same body type may cause clipping issues with glowing tattoo armor (e.g. you might see glowing tattoos clipping through the armor/clothing, or you might see "dead spots" on tattoos that don't glow: modified armor/clothing increases the size of S'hani's body, and her tattoos are beneath the layer of her skin).

-S'hani belongs to the "Potential Followers" faction: any mod that affects, detects, or adds content for NPCs in that faction will also affect S'hani.

-S'hani has a weight of "100": This wouldn't be my first choice, but I find her glowing tattoos are most compatible with other clothing/armor mods when you put her weight to the max.

Thanks to S'hani's glowing tattoo armor, here's a short list of mods that I've tried that, for the most part, work great with little to no clipping issues (all UNP):

Shiva182's UNP Bodybuilding Armor and Clothing (Note: These armors/clothes are great for S'hani!)

UUNP book during gameplay (note: height differences in the armor provided; some don't fit well with others, experiment)

DeserterX's UNP mods are mostly suitable. Experienced armor/clothing clipped to forearms and legs.
