About this mod Machine translation
Introduced an empire-based news system that is updated throughout the questline.
News in Skyrim is a strange mix of rumor, word of mouth, and uncanny knowledge of what's going on. This mod aims to change that in a lore-friendly way by adding a "fair, balanced" news agency, the Imperial Mail, which will quickly send written copies to Skyrim's many inns and taverns. Please note, however, that due to the Civil War, storage locations may be tainted by Stormcloak propaganda. It is also possible to ask the innkeeper to add your name to a subscription list, where the courier will personally deliver new editions as they are released.
describe
Added chests to several inns and taverns in Skyrim and Solstheim; they can be found in bars. Once a day (default is 4am), chests are updated with versions related to player behavior and may randomly contain fake versions with Stormcloak propaganda.
Players can choose to speak to the innkeeper at any inn or tavern to subscribe to the Imperial Mail. After subscribing, the courier will deliver a new version every four days. After completing the "Unlimited" mission, if the player has not yet subscribed, the courier will additionally provide a reminder record of the "Imperial Mail" subscription option. Tempest-friendly innkeepers will provide information for subscribing players to Tempest news.
Releases are intended to be relatively short, with quick distribution/replication in mind, and have a decidedly faction-friendly tone.

Use your favorite mod manager (recommended).
Manually place the extracted archive into the Data folder for installation. To uninstall, delete the same files.
Technical description
The time to update the repository and the percentage of incorrect versions are global variables. Additionally, the interval at which the courier is polled for new versions is also a set of global variables. xEdit can be used to modify these global variables to suit individual games. Default is 4am, 45%, 1 day initially and 4 days after subscription.
FAQ
"Why not just use Black Horse Courier Reborn?"
While this mod is excellent, I have two reasons for writing a similar mod:
Black Horse Courier Reborn has not yet been ported to Skyrim Special Edition.
I wish the news could better reflect the Civil War by manipulating people's opinions rather than simply stating the news. It feels more realistic and immersive. The Stormcloaks' side is clear propaganda and disinformation, while the Empire's side is propaganda and more accurate information.
“Why doesn’t every hotel have a box?”
Treasure chests were added to defenses against Imperial friendly forces (at the start of the game), and these locations were considered far enough away from the Stormcloaks to potentially risk treasure chests or close enough to Imperial friendly locations to justify having something like an olive branch. The location won't change since following the Civil War questline because I'm lazy. ;)
"The box is empty!"
After a few hours, the chest should be filled when the game starts or when the game loads. However, the myriad of ways the game can be launched (e.g., alternate launches), as well as the cells in which save content can be loaded can cause problems for the OnInit event. Just wait for the next daily deposit and everything will be fine.

News in Skyrim is a strange combination of rumors, word of mouth, and magical knowledge of things that happened. This mod aims to change that in a lore-friendly manner by adding The Imperial Post, a "fair and balanced" news agency which sends quickly written editions to many of the inns and taverns in the province of Skyrim. But beware, due to the civil war, the deposit locations may be tainted with Stormcloak propaganda. Innkeepers can also be asked to add your name to the subscription list, wherein a courier will hand deliver new editions as they become available.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
