About this mod Machine translation
Ever wonder why Riften's Ratway can't escape into the wild?
What does it do?
It adds two potholes to Riften, one in the Ratway and one on the outer wall of the city, allowing you to access the Ratway without having to go through the city.
What has been accomplished?
Fully functional.
When you enter the Ratway, follow the normal path (e.g. jump off when you reach the bridge) until you enter the room containing the needles and a lot of oil (right after the spear door).
On the right, there is a closed dead end. Look up.
On the outer wall, jump into the water near the fishery and swim under the stairs, which lead to the door to Ballymond.
But is it immersive?
perhaps. Make up your own case.
It should work fine without causing any problems.
Also: no Navmeshes are edited (because the external unit doesn't have anything where I'm using it), so it's probably not the follower.

What does it do?
It adds two potholes to Riften, one in the Ratway, one on the outer wall of the city, to enable you to enter the Ratway without going through the city.
What is already done?
Feature-complete.
When you enter the Ratway, follow the normal path (as in, jump down when you reach the bridge) until you enter the room containing a skeever and a lot of oil (right after the spear-trapped door).
On the right, there is a gated dead end. Look upwards.
On the outer wall, jump into the water near the fishery and swim underneath the stairs which lead to the door that'll drop you next to Balimund.
But is it immersive?
Probably. Make up your own justification.
Should work fine and cause no isues.
Also: No Navmeshes were edited (since the exterior cell didn't have any at the position I used), so it's probably not follower-firendly.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
