Rift SE Lush Forest - Aspen Tree Overhaul

Overhaul of aspen trees for a green and lush look. Trees are larger, they have new bark textures, new leaves (with different leaf colors on some trees for added variety) and a fallen leaf effect. Bark and branch textures are 2K. Contains billboards for lod generation (~1K). No .esp plugin, just meshes and textures.

This mod completely changes the way overpass trees look in Skyrim.

The trees are larger and sometimes get lost in the forest, with little sunlight filtering through the canopy.

The leaves are mainly dark green, with a brighter yellow-green on some trees, and the appearance is more varied, with the bark being dark brown.

The falling leaves animation has also been replaced by Rudy HQ - Falling Leaves and Needles SE, with matching green leaf textures.

The mod also comes with 1K quality billboards for LOD generation, matching the texture and size of each tree.

If you're not familiar with billboards, they are flat images used to generate LODs, which is what you see before you get close to the object.

They can be used with SSELODGen (for easier use) or DyndoLOD (for more experienced users).

For maximum compatibility, this mod only changes the aspen tree.

No grass or landscaping is touched.

For a complete spring overhaul of Rift Valley, you'll want to match green grass and landscape textures

If you have tree overhauls that change the mesh and/or texture of the aspen trees, you will need to load this mod after them

and override whatever it needs.

This mod is standalone and does not require other mods to be installed.

~Note to Skyrim 3d trees users: In order to use both mods at the same time, you need to reverse the file path of S3DTrees NextGenerationForests.esp back to vanilla in xEdit,

Or remove its edit to poplar entirely.

This is because 3d Trees uses a different folder path than vanilla Skyrim

or other tree overhaul. ~
