A luxurious makeover of Master Neloth's robes and shoes

This is a hand-painted reimagining of Master Neloth's robes. It was originally supposed to be merged into a larger Dunmer Fashion mod I'm working on as an optional file, but I thought since the mod would take some time to complete I'd just upload it as its own mod.

After the Red Age and the Argonian invasion, Master Neloth and House Telvanni in general may be in trouble, but I feel like luxury clothing is something Neloth in particular would prioritize in times of financial difficulty. After all, in Morrowind, he's happy to let you kill someone so he can get some fancy new clothes to satisfy his vanity.

This transformed his robe into something truly worthy of Morrowind's nobility, by changing the yellow trim (which could mean gold, but doesn't look like it) to a more refined gold, changing the fabric of the robe to a dark, shiny silk, wrapping the pure white arms and legs into a beautifully embroidered strap, and adding patterns to his scarf and lower garments. I also changed his shoes because they look like cheap crap that a peasant would wear, not something someone like Master Neloth would prance around.

This restructuring only affects the primary Telvanni robe worn by Master Neloth. Ildari's robes don't change, this is because I think she's just an apprentice so she probably won't be as richly dressed as her master. If you want your female character to wear this texture, there are some mods out there that can change the female version of these robes to look like males, and they also get rid of the heart stone bundles, so they should do the trick.

This is a hand drawn retexture of Master Neloth's robes. It was originally supposed to be incorporated into a larger Dunmer fashion mod I'm working on as an optional file, but I figured since that mod will take some time to finish, I'd just upload this as its own mod instead.

Master Neloth and House Telvanni in general may have fallen on hard times after the Red Year and the Argonian invasion, but I feel like extravagant clothing is something Neloth in particular would prioritise even through economic hardship. After all, in Morrowind he'll gladly task you with killing someone just so he can get some fancy new clothes to satisfy his vanity.

This changes his robes into something truly worthy of a Morrowind noble, by changing the yellow trim (which was probably meant to be gold, but it doesn't look like it) into a more elaborate gold one, changing the fabric of the robe into a darker coloured shiny silk, turning the plain white arm and leg wraps into beautifully embroidered bands, and adding a pattern to his scarf and under-robes. I also changed his shoes, because they looked like some cheap garbage a farmer would wear, not something someone like Master Neloth would prance around in.

This retexture only affects the main Telvanni robe worn by Master Neloth. Ildari's robes are unchanged, and this is because I figured since she was just an apprentice, she probably wouldn't be dressed as richly as the master himself. If you want your female characters to be wearing this texture instead, there are mods out there that change the female version of these robes to look like the male ones, they also get rid of the heart stone harness, so they should probably do the trick.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
