About this mod Machine translation
A restoration spell that resurrects an NPC while keeping it intact. The higher your level of recovery, the more healthy they will be.
Overview
A restoration spell that brings NPCs/animals/creatures back to life, but the results are more complex than what you can get by running the "resurrect" console command.
feature
•Scale to your recovery level: NPCs will recover a percentage of health proportional to your recovery level, scaling from 0.1% to 100%. Coded with recovery levels greater than 100 in mind to ensure compatibility with Skyrim Skill Uncapper or similar mods.
- Keep an inventory of targets to prevent duplication of items and keep them submerged. It is recommended to use the unofficial patch, as without it NPCs will often drop equipped weapons on death. In this way, the spell will be unexplainable. See the following example detailing inventory behavior.
•Do not allow any NPC to be resurrected that you cannot cast a resurrection spell on. This tends to include things like: dragons, daedra, dwarven structures, ghosts, familiars, etc. Nothing significant happens unless the target is dead.
- Your relationship level will be restored with any NPC type of resurrected actor (usually just humanoid; not animals or creatures etc.).
•From my testing, this spell seems to work fine on horses.
- Added spell tome to spell vendor via script injection, so no patches required.
example
•If you cast this item on an NPC without any items, it will resurrect wearing only its default equipment and no other items.
•If you cast it on an NPC with its default outfit, it will only resurrect that outfit. Except in these two cases (for NPCs), all items the target had when the spell was cast on you will be resurrected.
•If you pour it on a dead chicken, it will unfortunately respawn again even if you snatch the chicken from it. I think the game classifies this as the chick's default outfit, so without SKSE there's no easy solution yet. This may be true for other animal targets.
version number
•Main: This is the recommended default version. Most of the information on this page already describes its behavior.
•Ritual: The spell is a master-level restorative ritual spell that brings resurrection within an area of effect centered on the caster. The spell now requires two hands to cast and has a longer casting time, comparable to other master level ritual spells. The cost of Magicka and the price of tome have been adjusted accordingly. The spellbook can be purchased from Colette Mullens at Winterhold College after completing the Restoration Ritual Spell quest.
notes
•You will have to use your own judgment when deciding whether to cast this spell on a target. You should consider the fact that running scripts cannot be undone after the character dies in the game. For example: A shopkeeper dies. The key point is that the game detects this (sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly) and runs the death script, marking the character as dead to the rest of the cast. Often, the shop owner's closest family members take over the old shop owner's job. If you come back later to resurrect the character, don't be surprised if you run into some weird situations (which don't have to be completely game-breaking).
Another consequence of this is that once you resurrect that person, it can still be called "dead" in other parts of the game since the above script has already run (for example, if you resurrect a character that was supposed to be dead in the game). Of course, games will be performed/recommended in a way that reflects this.
For these reasons, I recommend you use it with the character protection module. It's best to avoid these important characters dying first, so you face fewer chances of having to weigh the pros and cons when casting this spell.
I personally recommend protecting your people as it is implemented well and cannot be overridden by mod load order as it uses quest aliases to protect NPCs. Running for your life and being a vampire attack is …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
