Skyrim Rescue System Overhaul
Hardcore mode with seatbelts
(Please read the full article before commenting)
describe:
In the default configuration this module is a configurable autosave manager that replaces the normal autosave system with its own (it performs full saves at configurable intervals instead of autosaves).
Why use this method?
Because this mode includes a real safety harness for your saves based on the excellent safe auto-save classic Skyrim Axon
How, how
· It will not save when it is dangerous or annoying, such as during cell transitions, when being hit, casting spells, swinging weapons, drawing bows/crossbows, blocking, jumping, etc.
· It avoids saving during combat or when moving at high speed. Saving in this case is generally unsafe, but over time these situations are mitigated because at some point being "generally unsafe" becomes safer than not saving at all.
· It delays saving in situations where it is not allowed or should not be allowed. Such cases include conversations, crafts, TFC photography and animation, such as chopping wood or using furniture. The advantage of detecting this situation is that the save will be performed after completion, not the next interval.
· It forces user-configured autosave to be disabled to all scripts’ autostorers except its own. This allows for a clean save list and resolves issues with some scripts automatically saving, such as when entering Apocrepa in Dragonborn.
Autopacks are seamlessly integrated into the game and most of the time you won't notice them because they are executed when the player is idle.
Is that a good product? And more, included!
I always felt like SkyRIM's rescue system made the game too easy, and even with death replacement mods I always wanted to reload. I tried many times but I was never satisfied, certainly because I was weak willed, but I always convinced myself that I had a good reason to load up on my last save. Including a method to prevent saving is either far off or insufficient. The sky is still there... Skyrim, even with a perfect game, you can face CTD or weird things.
So it took me a long time to find a solution that would block the vanilla cheating save system, give my game some sense of stress, and maintain a good level of security to avoid losing 2 hours of progress or ruining my game.
Welcome to hardcore mode!
The idea behind this mode is to avoid the temptation that every time you save, you will attempt a dangerous move and make the tedious process of manually saving/reloading your Savegame.
How to do it?
When performing a save (quick save or manual save) they will be marked and if you try to reload them the game will exit to the desktop (don't be afraid, I said it included a safety belt). When you save using a configurable hotkey, a special save is issued, marked as Load, and the game exits (because no ConsoleUtils are published for SkyRIM SSE, you will see the console briefly open).
Force mode flags saves performed by the included autosave system, and it is highly recommended to enable it when using death override mode.
This mode cheats the save system and forces you to face the consequences of your actions. But don't be too scared, I included a safety harness ;)
seat belt:
Did you make a big mistake? Do you regret killing Nazim (really!?)? Does robbing these goodies make you feel guilty? Or does Skyrim choose to exit the desktop after 2 hours?
It’s time to use your seat belt!
How to do it?
· Place SSSO-MilkDrinker.p (especially at the end of the load) and activate it.
· Load your game and save it with dedicated hotkeys.
· Disable plug-ins and reload the game
· That’s all!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
