About this mod Machine translation
Play as any actor or creature!
This mod is a conversion of iceburg's Alternate Actors, uploaded with the proper consent of the original author. I'm not a mod creator so I can't provide any support and/or bugfixes. Use this mod as-is and use the original author's LE mod for any troubleshooting, guidance, or reference.
From the original mod:
Alternate actors allow you to play as anyone and change the appearance of your NPCs! Cast one of two spells to control an animal or person. The person control spell gives you almost complete control over the actor, and the animal control spell allows you to move as you wish and perform 3 unique attacks on the creature.
Requires Skyrim Script Extension!
Requires SkyUI!
Without these mods AA will never give you these spells or leave the loading screen!
Take control of any creature and:
Control almost any animal and take them as far as possible
Most animals have left, right and special attacks (activate button)
Some animals (like Atronachs) can cast spells!
Revert from the animal at any time by pressing the shout button
Take control of any humanoid and gain their permissions:
It seems
Skill expertise
Health/Endurance/Magicka
in stock
fighting
Process/Object Interaction
Basic factions (rubbing elbows with bandits, or vampires!)
The original player can act as a follower, wander around or disappear
Return to original player at any time
Dying to a new actor results in death/burden, or reverts to the original player
Save/load while other actors are playing, then return to playing the original player later
It's literally the actor playing the game!
Controlling NPCs can influence them in the following ways:
Improve their skills
shift gears
Change their face, hair and hair color (10 NPCs can be remembered)
and more!
Many MCM configurable options
360 controller compatibility
Using the ghost option, dying as a protagonist turns you into a ghost and you must find a new protagonist before you can attack again!
Use new spells and spell tome legacy-friendly versions
Development thread allows authors to easily create AA task modules

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
