About this mod Machine translation
This little mod removes the "quick save" button in the system menu (esc) added in SE. You can now exit the game normally without scrolling through the system menu.
Removed "Quick Save" button;
Three options, different button arrangements;
Some small adjustments to prevent text clipping with large fonts;
Optional "Mod Configuration" renamed to "MCM";
Flash save game bug fix included.
Why?
The quicksave system in Skyrim (LE and SE) is almost broken. Many sources claim that quick saving can cause save corruption in some way. Manual saving is slower, but tends to pause the script long enough to avoid problems. "Both quicksaves and autosaves can cause scripts to freeze, even in vanilla games. Sometimes, the problem is severe enough to break the rules of the game, especially after 50+ hours" (source).
The system menu in Skyrim SE is too cluttered. I prefer LE's "minimalistic" system menu, where you can hit the "Exit" button without scrolling through it. A simple ini tweak can help remove the Creation Club's "Mods" button, but not the "Quick Save" button.
FAQ
Q: But Engine Repair has the option to do a regular save on quick save, right? - A: OK. But only hotkeys. The "Quick Save" button in the system menu continues creating quick saves.
Q: Flash save game repair? A: Include similar swf file adjustments and there will be no such problem.
Q: I still have the Creation Club "Mods" button. How do I delete it? A: In Skyrim.ini: set bModManagerMenuEnabled = 0 under [General].
Q: Why 3 arrangements to choose from? A: First of all, there are sudden changes. For example, I like to put the MCM button at the top of the list to be able to access it as quickly as possible (ESC -> E -> I'm there). The second thing is that in Skyrim SE, when your character dies, the first two lines are grayed out, preventing you from forming a quick save or manual save. I don't know how to change the number of gray lines, so if you choose the option that has a LE-like button arrangement, both the "Save" and "Load" buttons will be grayed out on Ember death (i.e. not very convenient).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
