Remove or optimize precipitation
There are two versions. A makeup remover for snow and rain. The second is a scaled-down texture, going from 256/128x to 64x with no noticeable visual quality loss in the game. Remover performance increased to +2.5% of initial FPS. For resized textures, the difference is within an error of 1 fps.

The performance difference between both versions is negligible on my system. I'll probably still use makeup remover for visibility. The remover comes with sound files to de-noise rain and snow. I made sure not to affect the direction of the wind (in the snowy mountains). The remover's mesh came with empty BSXFlags and I used a BSFadeNode to create the ripples. There are also transparent 4x4 textures.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
