About this mod Machine translation
Reduce redness in vanilla detail map (skin tone) for male characters.
What's this?
Quick and dirty edits to vanilla skin tone maps to reduce some of their redness.
I'm using this with the SkySight skin, but it should be fine with the vanilla texture too.
I haven't tested this extensively, this is just a personal edit I'm posting for anyone who might be annoyed by this.
Why?
I noticed that some NPCs have a very noticeable red tint on their necks under certain lighting conditions. Then I realized it was due to skin color.
By comparing the detail maps to Oldrim's, I realized that they were amplified and sharpened for SE, which introduced a red tint into the texture, so I tried to fix that.
Should I use this?
For example, if you are using a skin model that already contains improved detail maps, such as Fine Face Textures and Vitruvia, you do not need this feature.
I don't think the Legend Edition needs this feature.
Install
Install directly into your data folder, or use a mod manager like Mod Manager (recommended).

I noticed some NPCs had a very noticeable red tint on their necks under some light conditions. I then realized this was due to the skin complexion.
By comparing the detail maps to Oldrim's, I realized they were upscaled and sharpened for SE which introduced a red tone in the textures, so I tried to fix that.
Should I use this?
You do not need this if you're using skin mods that already include improved detail maps such as Fine Face Textures and Vitruvia, for example.
This is not needed for Legendary Edition, I think.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
