Remove enchantments via CyberSpyder

by CyberSpyder·v1.1·Updated 2018-12-01

Just a port of CyberSpyder, the wonderful de-enchanting model from Skyrim. I ported it because I was so annoyed at not being able to do something so simple. See the original mod at this link: https://www.skyrim/mods/52406? Full description of usage.

About this mod Machine translation

Just a port of CyberSpyder, the wonderful de-enchanting model from Skyrim. I ported it because I was so annoyed at not being able to do something so simple. See the original mod at this link: https://www.skyrim/mods/52406? Full description of usage.

New Description: Usage is to equip the Scattered Shout, Shout, then remove the item from your inventory, which will copy the original item, upgrades and all, then remove it and provide a fresh, upgraded weapon without enchantments. Useful when you want to make your bada** sword more exciting. Shouts have a short usage time and a short cooldown, so be careful and remember to save often so you don't accidentally forget your favorites!

Disclaimer: This mod only works with player magic items, so no, you can't be a godly Dawnbreaker. However, you can get a modded version of Dawnbreaker and enchant it. This mod shouldn't have any conflicts, but if it does I probably won't be able to help you. Find, or just try porting your own version of disenchanter. It's not difficult.

SKSE SE is required!

Original Mod:

Original description: Allows you to remove player-created enchantments from items so that better enchantments can be added as skills level up.

That is, another decomposition. I've noticed that I tend to avoid enchanting my best gear and wait for my skills to reach 100 first so I can get the best results. This seems a bit silly. Therefore, mod. It adds a minor power, and when used, it will clear the enchantment of the first item dropped after you, as long as you were the first to enchant it, while keeping it tempered.

(Technically, it deletes the one you deleted, creates a copy, sets it to original quality, and gives it to you.)

It's simple, but it feels like something is missing. I wish if I could make it even remove the enchantment from other items, but that's... impractical since it would also affect all other items of that type.

SKSE is required.

New Description: Usage is a equipping the disenchanting shout,  shouting, then dropping the item from your inventory, which will copy the original item, upgrades and all, then deleting it and providing a fresh, upgraded weapon with no enchantments. Useful when you want to make a bada** sword even more awesome. The shout has a short use time and a short cool down, so be careful and remember to save frequently SO YOU DON'T ACCIDENTALLY DISENCHANT YOUR FAVORITE GEAR!!!

DISCLAIMER: This mod only works for player enchanted items, so no, you can't make a godly Dawnbreaker. You can however, get a mod version of the Dawnbreaker and enchant it. This mod should not have any conflicts, but if it does I probably won't be able to help you. Look it up, or just try to port your own version of a disenchanter. It's not that hard.

REQUIRES SKSE SE!!!

Original Mod:

Original Description: Allows you to remove player-created enchantments from items, so that you can add better ones as your skill improves.

I.e., the other kind of disenchanting. I've noticed that I tend to avoid enchanting my best gear, waiting for my skill to reach 100 first so that I can get the best possible results. This seems a little silly. Hence, the mod. It adds a lesser power that, when used, will clear the enchantment from the first item you drop afterward, as long as you were the one to enchant it in the first place, while preserving its tempering status.

(Technically, it deletes the one you drop, creates a duplicate copy, sets it to the quality of the original, and then gives it to you.)

Pretty simple, but it feels like something that was missing. I would have preferred if I could make it remove enchantments even from other items, but this is...impractical, as it would also affect every other item of that type.

Requires SKSE.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
