Defeat enemies from a distance with more than just spells and arrows
Throwing weapons
Things to note
This mod requires SKSE and SkyUI to use all its features. Links to these files can be found under "Required Documents."
introduce
This mod adds a completely new way of combat to Skyrim, throwing weapons. No longer do you have to use just arrows and spells to lure your opponents from afar. These include throwing axes, throwing knives, javelins and grenades.
feature
Throwing weapons are easy to use, just aim and throw. Equip them like any other handheld weapon and swing it, and the weapon will be thrown towards the target. They can also be dual-purposed with conventional weapons and other thrown weapons.
To obtain these weapons, you can craft them at any forge, as long as you have the appropriate forging perks.
If you're impatient, use the console command "help" to find the console code for the weapon in the following format "help" "throw". For example, "Help "Throwing Iron Knife""
Each type of thrown weapon is governed by a specific skill, and using the weapon will also train you in that skill.
Potion Grenade is controlled by your Alchemy skill
Throwing axes/knives/javelins is determined by Archery skill
MCM
This mod uses MCM, so requires SKSE and SkyUI (or not SkyUI). The menu is easy to explain, but here is a brief breakdown of the menu system.
General - Use this menu to turn certain features of the mod on or off. These include different weapon types as well as flutter. By default, they are all set to on. By turning off a specific weapon, you can remove it from the vendor, loot, and crafting menus. By turning off the quiver, thrown weapons will no longer automatically equip when you equip them.
Axis - If axis damage is enabled in the general menu, this menu allows you to adjust the damage of the axis individually.
Knives - If knives are enabled in the general menu, this menu allows you to adjust the damage of knives individually.
Javelin - If the javelin is enabled in the general menu, the javelin's damage can be adjusted individually.
Grenades - If grenades are enabled in the regular menu, this menu allows you to adjust grenade damage individually. Oil and gas trap grenades are not in this menu as they work differently.
Perks - This menu provides an alternative method of unlocking perks through the skill tree. This menu will be disabled if the privilege tree plugin is active.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
