Tired of being eliminated as a Redguard kid? This mod aims to give Redguard children their melanin back by adding a second, darker child body template to the game so they look a little better - or even look like they're actually related to their parents!
A simple little model that copies and restructures the vanilla Child's body, head, etc. to provide a stronger skin tone base for the vanilla RedguardRaceChild design.
Depending on what other mods you are running, after installation you may need to go into the Creation Kit and use the facial shading presets and/or hair colors assigned to each Redguard child to get the desired look; for example, I found the dark brown hair to be too light for Braith as she has a decent skin tone so I changed it to black (see screenshot above). If you are looking for all of them, here is a list:
Redguard Children in Skyrim SE:
adara
Alesan
Braith
Kayd...I decided to switch Clinton Lylvieve from Breton to Redguard.
Compatibility: No meshes were harmed while making this mod, so hopefully it will be compatible with almost everything, but mods that change the appearance of children may conflict, or more likely overwrite this mod entirely. I'm hoping this is something not too difficult to tinker with, but I'm very new to modding and I don't know how to start doing this! You're more than welcome to make and upload your own patches, and I'll be happy to link them and even host them here if you'd like - but please don't ask me to make any patches, as I have a good way into my education of changing things before I'm ready to start laughing at other people's mods, sorry!
Permissions: Fully open! Like you! You can send me a link if you want, but you don't need to get my approval before using or porting or redoing it; it's all free and clear, have fun!
Troubleshooting: Please let me know if you run into any problems and be detailed when you explain to me what's wrong; I'm a very new molder and I really don't know what I'm doing 90% of the time!
Credits: Thanks to tesseractangular, whose Kidmer mod gave me the idea of how to do this!
Screenshot Credits: Thanks to Gamwich, the kids above my screenshot are sporting the beautiful Rustic Clothing mod!

A simple little mod that duplicates and retextures the vanilla child body, head, etc., to give a more robust skintone base to the vanilla RedguardRaceChild design.
Depending on what other mods you have running, after installation you may want to go into the Creation Kit and fiddle with the face tinting presets and/or hair colors assigned to each of the Redguard Children to get your ideal look; for example, I found the dark brown hair far too light on Braith now that she had a decent skintone so I swapped it to black (see above screenshots). Compatibility: No meshes were harmed in the making of this mod so hopefully it will be compatible with just about everything, but mods that alter the appearance of children may conflict or, more likely, overwrite this mod completely. I expect that that's something that isn't too hard to patch but I am extremelynew to modding and I have no idea how to even begin to do that! You are more than welcome to make and upload your own patches to which I will gladly link, or even host them here if you prefer -- but please don't ask me to make any, as I have a loooong way to go in my modding education before I'm ready to start poking at other people's mods like that, sorry!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
