I'll update it with more colors (like gold, purple, pink, red, orange) and I'll take requests, so if you want a color I haven't done yet, feel free to request it. Unfortunately I can't get it to go dark because I've tried it multiple times using a few different methods and I don't think it's possible. I didn't try the white or grey, but I imagine they are too.
This mod does not change the color of runes that appear on the surface, but it does change the color of explosions, spells, etc.
I don't know how to change the runes, but since they are rarely used and there have been several runes modified and restructured, I won't be trying to change them.
lightning
Current choices: Green, Purple.
Planned/Ongoing: Red, Gold, Pink, Orange.
The lightning texture comes from the voltage mode of SRW0. He allowed me to recolor and upload his lightning textures.
Woz
Current choices: Green, Purple.
Planned/Ongoing: Red, Gold, Pink, Orange.
Ward texture from Oldrim mod Holy Wards - BanjoBunny's Retexture. The permissions tab on the mod page allows using his assets, modifying them, and converting them to other games (such as SSE) as long as I trust him and don't make money from it.
If you encounter any problems please let me know! I probably won't be able to fix them since this is my first mod and all I can do is change the colors, but knowing them would be very helpful.

This mod aims to recolor Wards and Lightning spells, using modified assets (with permission) from two other mods. RWaL currently contains green textures for all Ward spells and Lightning spells.
I will be updating this with more colors (eg. Gold, purple, pink, red, orange), and I will take requests so if you want a color that I haven't done yet, please feel free to ask for it. Unfortunately, I will NOT make black because I have tried it multiple times with several different approaches and I don't think it's possible. I haven't tried white or grey but I imagine the same will be true for them.
This mod does not change the color of Runes that appear on surfaces, but it does change the color of the explosion, the spell, etc.
I'm not sure how to change the runes but since they are so rarely used and there are several rune overhauls and retextures out there already, I won't try to change them.
Lightning
Current options: Green, Purple.
Planned / In progress: Red, Gold, Pink, Orange.
Lightning textures are from the Voltage mod by SRW0. He has given me permission to recolor and upload his lightning textures.
Wards
Current options: Green, Purple.
Planned / In progress: Red, Gold, Pink, Orange.
Ward textures are from the Oldrim mod Holy Wards - A Retexture by BanjoBunny. The permissions tab on the mod page gives permission to use his assets, modify them, and convert them to other games (eg. SSE) as long as I credit him and do not make money off them.
PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY ISSUES! I may not be able to fix them as this is my first mod and all I can do is change colors, but It would be very helpful to know about them.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
