About this mod Machine translation
A friendly addition to Nord or Imperial rides. Add a backstory to your character about the Civil War and introduce additional motivations for joining a faction.
This MOD is only for Emperor or Nord games
Use with "Alternate Boot Module" recommended, but not required
This is a surefire way to start a new life, and works even better with the possibility of starting in Alternate Start mode
As a prisoner of war, you can volunteer to fight in the war.
Early in the game, a courier will come to deliver your letter. Depending on whether your race is Imperial or Nord, this letter will have unique content about the character's background and give you some extra motivation to join one of the factions in the Civil War.
(If you are neither an imperialist nor a Nordic, nothing will happen to you without a courier)

THIS MOD IS FOR IMPERIAL OR NORD PLAYTHROUGS ONLY
Recommended to use with the "Alternate Start Mod", but not required
This is a lore-friendly way to start a new life, and works much better given the possible starts in the Alternate Start mod- so instead of
being a prisoner of war, you join the war on your own accord.
Early in the gameplay a courier will come and deliver a letter to you. Depending on if your Race is Imperial or Nord, the letter will have unique content regarding the backstory of your character and with that giving you some extra motivation to join one of the Factions in the Civil War.
(If you are neither Imperial nor Nord than no courier comes and nothing happens)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
