Realistic ability

You can't have more than one suit of armor in your inventory space at a time. You can carry clothing and weapons on your belt, and your armor may have some pouches to store meager supplies, but unless you have a backpack, you likely won't be able to carry much more.

About this mod Machine translation

You can't have more than one suit of armor in your inventory space at a time. You can carry clothing and weapons on your belt, and your armor may have some pouches to store meager supplies, but unless you have a backpack, you likely won't be able to carry much more.

describe

It's a classic 'this unrealistic mechanic has bugged me from day one' scenario. What bothers me is that you can carry this gear for an entire army and still get through the land without any trouble. Previoulsy, I mitigated this with another mod, SkyRealism - Capacity, which allows you to carry what you wear and nothing else. I used it for a while but I felt it was too simple and didn't handle the weapons properly. So, I did it myself.

This is broken down:

With this mod, your character has a smaller base inventory space.

Any equipped item increases capacity and essentially weighs nothing.

Wearing certain armor (cuirass, gloves, boots) will slightly increase your carrying capacity. So you can keep a dagger in your boot.

Base capacity and increased capacity can be set in the MCM, unequip or equip a piece of armor to recalculate.

This mod records recently equipped weapons and adds them to your capacity. So you can carry one large weapon (greatsword, waraxe, warhammer, staff), two medium weapons (sword, varax, mace), two small weapons (daggers), one ranged weapon (bow or crossbow), and one shield without a shield to use up any space.

Weapons currently tracked by this mod can also be seen in the MCM.

This mod should be compatible with every other mod as long as they don't constantly edit the player's carrying capacity. (Requiem compatible)

Make sure to disable mods in the MCM before uninstalling, otherwise you will encounter a small inventory.

I recommend you install a few backpack or pouch mods, but you're probably using every one of them.

Description

This is a classic 'this unrealistic mechanic has bothered me since day one' scenario. It simply bothers me that you can carry the equipment for an entire legion of soldiers, and still be able to run through the land without ease. Previoulsy, I had alleviated this through another mod, SkyRealism - Capacity, which allowed you to carry what you wore, and not much else. I used it for some time, but I felt it was too simplistic, and didn't handle weapons properly. So, I made my own.

Here's it broken down:

With this mod, your character has a small base inventory space.

Any equipped items will add onto the capacity, and are essentially weightless.

Wearing certain pieces of armor (cuirass, gloves, boots) will give you a slight increase to your carrying capacity. So you can keep a dagger in your boot.

The base capacity and added capacity can be set in the MCM, unequip or equip a piece of armor to redo the calculation.

This mod keeps track of recently equipped weapons and also adds them onto your capacity. So you can carry one large weapon (greatsword, battleaxe, warhammer, staff), two medium weapons (sword, waraxe, mace), two small weapons (daggers), one ranged weapon (bow or crossbow), as well as a shield without running out of any space.

What weapons this mod is currently tracking can also be seen in the MCM.

This mod should be compatible with every other mod, as long as they don't edit the player's carrying capacity frequently. (Requiem is Compatible)

Be sure to disable the mod in the MCM before uninstalling, or you'll be stuck with a small inventory.

I would recommend you install some backpack or pouch mods, but you're all probably using every single one of them.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
