Skyrim Special Edition has been out for a while now, and one of the many ways Bethesda has abandoned the proverbial Sweet Roll is a lack of focus on the frankly, very bland main menu. Thankfully, some talented modders have crafted a variety of alternatives to suit the changing tastes of this excellent community. That being said, I'm looking for a feel that fits the original Skyrim main menu while adding a few things to make it feel...well, special.

This mockup is a tasteful, if a bit flashy, modification of Brumbek’s main menu spin logo. Includes a brand new gold emblem texture (courtesy of a parody in the /r/SkyrimMods Discord) and a high-resolution title card background. True to the source pattern, the logo rotates to reveal a luxurious gold finish.

Install:

Install using your preferred mod manager (Vortex, MO2, yes, even NMM). If you use other mods to change the main menu, verify that they don't conflict and adjust your mod priorities according to your preferences.

Recommended Mods:

No more creating club news - get rid of Bethesda's cash grab spam.

Replace main menu and loading screen fog with Snow SE - Skyrim should be cold and snowy. Make your menu match.

Hectrol SKYRIM LOGO Deluxe Hires Retex - High resolution texture of the logo. The gold option has a duller look than the imitation texture, but the added resolution really makes it pop. If you install this, delete the "grid" directory or you may lose the rotation effect and background.

True Skyrim Special Edition Main Menu

Skyrim Special Edition has been released for some time, now, and one of the many ways in which Bethesda dropped the proverbial Sweet Roll was the lack of attention to the, frankly, very bland main menu. Thankfully, some talented mod authors have made a variety replacers to suit the variable tastes of this fine community. That being said, I was looking for something that fit the feel of the original Skyrim Main Menu, while adding something to make it feel... well, special.

This mod is a tasteful, if a bit gaudy, modification of Brumbek's Main Menu Spinning Emblem. Included is brand new gold emblem texture (provided by mimic over in the /r/SkyrimMods Discord) and a high resolution title card background. True to the source mod, the emblem rotates, showcasing the luxurious gold finish.

Installation:

Install with your preferred mod manager (Vortex, MO2, yes, even NMM). If you use other mods that alter the main menu, verify that they do not conflict, and adjust your mod priority according to preference.
