A simple mod that allows female characters to wear the male version of the Vampire Royal Armor. Includes optional CBBE files
I've always been a big fan of the male version of the Vampire Royal Armor. The female version, not so much. I tried to download a replacement version (part of the Realistic Female Armor Overhaul) but it caused some issues with Valerica's gear that I really didn't like, so I decided to just join the meshes together and make a standalone version.
Located in the sleeping quarters of Volkihar Castle, Vampire Lord Armor has a charming and non-magical atmosphere. Both have the same stats as the regular Vampire Royal Armor and look the same on the male model, but the female model has actual armor instead of the gear worn by Serana and Valerica. You can also provide optional CBBE files for CBBE users.
Big thanks to nekollx and calyps, the creators of the Realistic Female Armor Overhaul, who as far as I know is the creator of the original mesh.

The Vampire Lord Armor can be found in the sleeping area of Volkihar Castle, in both enchanted and unenchanted form. Both have the same stats as the regular Vampire Royal Armor and looks the same on the male model, but the female model is the actual armor rather than the outfit worn by Serana and Valerica. There is also an optional CBBE file for you CBBE users.
Big thanks to both nekollx, creator of the Realistic Female Armor Overhaul, and calyps, who as far as I can tell is the creator of the original mesh.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
