Randomized birthstone

This is a ZEdit UPF patch that randomizes birthstones in Skyrim. After using ZEdit to generate the patch, you'll notice that 10 of the 13 standing stones in Skyrim are no longer in their default and expected locations.

This is a ZEdit UPF patch that randomizes the position of Standing Stones throughout Skyrim. After installing and generating the patch, you will notice that 10 of the 13 standing stones in Skyrim are no longer in their default and expected positions. It utilizes ZEdit to dynamically assign placements so that results often change from game to game. Patches can be restored and uninstalled at any time.

Like many of the other patches and tweaks on this mod, this mod is intended to keep things fresh for players who are already familiar with the game but are revisiting it for a new run of play or content. While it can be installed mid-game, it's ideal for use in new or recent games where all birthstones haven't been discovered yet.

Recommended tools

Mator Smash can resolve any record level conflicts that occur between this mod and another. For some (but not all) games, this resolution may be critical. However, if you don't use this tool, you can still uninstall this mod if it causes problems in your game.

Recommended mods

Andromeda adds new interesting birthstone effects and adjusts their balance to make all birthstones useful and valuable. With Andromeda, you'll find more than just a few rocks (like The Atronach) dotting the skyline.

Frostfall adds survivability to Skyrim. By taking advantage of Frostfall and disabling fast travel, finding your most desired birthstone in Skyrim will become more challenging. Regarding storms and freezing temperatures, you need to plan your adventure more carefully.

Compatible with Andromeda. Not compatible with any mods that add brand new birthstones (but may come soon). Any issues and this mod can be safely disabled and/or uninstalled.

It utilizes ZEdit to assign the placements dynamically such that the results will usually vary between playthroughs. The patch may be reverted and uninstalled at any time.
