About this mod Machine translation
This is a skin replacement for Oculus Touch Controller.
This skin replaces the Oculus Touch Controller, giving it a vivid, rustic look.
To do this:
- Navigate to Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/resources/rendermodels/oculus_cv1_controller_left
and back up or rename the file named external_controller01_col (e.g. external_controller01_col.backup)
Because this is the original black skin file of the controller
- Repeat step 1 for the oculus_cv1_controller_right folder
- Extract the downloaded skin to your preferred directory
- Copy/paste the file external_controller01_col
Go to the oculus_cv1_controller_left and oculus_cv1_controller_right folders.
- Enjoy ;)
To uninstall just delete my files from both folders and rename the original files to external_controller01_col

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
