About this mod Machine translation
This is a special version of the player avatar ported from Oldrim to Skyrim. Of course with permission from the original author Maegfaer. I've been using this mod in my game and never had a problem. Use the latest SKSE64 1.5.62.
Here is a link to the original Oldrim version.
Below is the description from the original Oldrim page..
describe
This mod can provide players with headline tracking. Your character will face other actors similar to the NPCs in the game. Your character will prioritize the actor you are currently speaking to first, then any other NPCs you are talking to, and then the actor most directly in front of your character. After a while, your character may not be interested in certain actors, and don't pursue them unless they are directly in front of your character. If they start talking or change their AI package, your character will become interested in them again.
Starting in 2.3, your character will have different facial expressions, depending on the actor's RelationshipRank effect on the player. Note that some actors don't have a RelationshipRank on the player, while they should (like Serana)! See the Customization section for instructions on how to customize facial expressions for each actor.
Starting with 2.3, the settings of this mod can be customized. For detailed instructions, read the "Customize" section, or read the text file included in the download.
Starting from 3.0, this mod can configure SkyUI's Mod configuration menu.
need
Skyrim 1.6 or newer.
For version 3.0, you need SkyUI 3.1 or higher. Please note that SkyUI requires SKSE!
Recommended
Brawl Bug plugin prevents brawls. Player head tracking doesn't require it to run, but without it your brawls will be bugged.
Install
Extract the contents of the ZIP archive of your choice into the Skyrim\Data folder. Enable Headtracking.esp in the launcher, or better yet, in the mod manager. Loading order doesn't matter.
renew
You should simply overwrite the old file with the new one to update. If you encounter any issues after updating, please disable player head tracking in the configuration menu, return to the game, return to the menu and enable it again.
uninstall
Disable player head tracking in the menu and save your game. Now you can disable ESP or delete all files if desired.
warn! Disabling mods in the menu will only disable mods for any consecutive save games! If a save is reloaded after removing the mod, it will not unload properly in that save until it is disabled! Before deleting, make sure to disable the mod in any future saves you may reload!
Known issues
- Head tracking system may not be as responsive as weaker machines.
Incompatibility
It's not clear yet. The system is completely self-contained, so I don't expect there to be too many incompatibilities, if any. Any future mods that add head tracking (this is a first) may not be compatible.
custom made
Customization is done in the SkyUI Mod C configuration menu game!
Bonus tip: You can control the facial expression your character shows when looking at a certain actor by going into the console, clicking on the target and typing: SetRelationshipRank Player#.
where # is a number from -4 to 4.
Troublshooting
If head tracking isn't working at all, typing the following into the console may work well to resolve your issue:
SetQuestAliases Headtracking
If your character is still in the headlines after uninstalling, open the console and enter:
Player.SetAnimGraphVar IsNPC 0
Change log
Version 3.3 - Fixed many incompatibility issues with other mods. An error occurred while installing this mod, or a new game with this mod enabled was enabled while there were any other mods active that attached scripts directly to the player. This resulted in my Actor array's internal variables being of script type from another mod attached to the player. Since my Actor Array is used to store head tracking targets, any other actors that don't have the same script as a player in another mod can no longer be …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
