About this mod Machine translation
A small model that prints keywords for equipped weapons, spells, and equipment parts. For Perkus Maximus users, it shows a chart of weapon classes and levels.
This is a little model I made for myself a long time ago when I was first testing t3nd0's Perkus Maximus. Perma adds a ton of new weapon classes, and since I'm also using Immersive Weapons, I'd like to know how these new weapons are classified. Unfortunately, the only way is to use Alt+Tab and Visit Perma's web page.
Well, not anymore.
Keyword Check is a simple mode that prints all keywords for currently equipped weapons, spells, and equipment parts. Due to the mechanical nature of this process, this may take a second or two.
Despite its original intent, Perkus Maximus requires no loading. However, with PerMa you can look for two charts t3nd0 on his page. I hope he doesn't come after me for using it.
I uploaded it due to a request from Reddit /r/SkyrimMods.
If you encounter any problems, please let me know via message or mail.
Version log:
1.3(2018-11-25)
Decided to rethink an old mod for the slow SE version, adding some features. At one point, I added a translation of MCM. Currently, it supports Polish and English. If you want to translate it, feel free to send me your txt file. No need to use ESP, it doesn't appear as any string in the game anyway.
Over the course of three years, words and spells can apparently be produced by shouting...or maybe I've just been a fool. Either way now Power tags also support currently equipped shouts. Known words are highlighted and unknown words dimmed. Don't be warned by several titles with similar names, in most cases Shout, its spells and magical effects are all called the same. Add "I", "II" and "III" markers to separate words.
The weapons/spells tab now has a "memory" feature. You can toggle it and it will probably remember the stats as you might have deduced. This is useful if you're looking through bajilion swords to see which one is really the best, or if you're comparing two two-handed weapons. Just tick "Remember" in a panel and it will stay there until you cancel it.
Added some more useful notifications for Perma users if you're a player who has access to the "Remove Charms" perk, which requires you to wear a certain amount of expensive clothing and jewelry.
1.2(2015-07-31)
If you're updating from a previous version: I think I may have messed up the update part of the MCM script, which means you won't be able to update the mod - you'll have to uninstall and reinstall the mod. Since it contains only one thing - the menu, it is completely safe.
Removed old script files that were the first version of MCM scripts.
Many new options added:
Spells now display base cost, effective cost, as well as the area, duration, and magnitude of each effect. I might need to do this for other projects I might be working on... Anyway, this would be useful for checking what perks affect you and such.
Weapons now show min/max range (normally 0 unless you're carrying a bow/crossbow)
New page - Power Keywords shows all details about smaller/larger power. I tried calling the same thing with shouts, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to generate a shout-related spell from a shout. After searching the CK wikia, I'm not sure if it's possible. If you happen to know how - let me know.
Masquerade Page - Added vanilla quest DB09 ("Kill an Empire") where you get an extra dialogue if you really look like a chef.
1.1.1 - (Main File) - Fixed typos
Added two optional files that fix a very common issue that appeared a few times on the /r/PerkusMaximus subreddit. After getting the Masquerade in Perma/Skyre, people wanted to test it during Northwatch's "Missing in Action" (MS09) mission, where you had to free a thalmor prisoner. Then they thought something wasn't working because the Thalmor agents there were hostile to them. That's because they are not Thalmor. These NPCs have their own faction (MS09NorthwatchFaction) and are based on Thalmor …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
