Added spear weapons and animations for third person mode. These are available to players and NPCs and can be crafted and found on enemies.
about
This mod adds 8 spear weapons and animations. These are sword type and use one handed perk trees. Both players and NPCs can use spears and animations. Spears can be crafted and found on enemies you encounter. Each spear has different attributes, such as a weak iron spear that is fast but has a short range, while a strong ebony spear is slow but has a greater range.
Currently this only works for the third person. Although I made some first person animation, I have no way to utilize it because FNIS doesn't support it. I'm looking into other methods, eventually including first person.

Spear Grip Mechanic: When using a spear with a shield or a non-handed weapon, one-handed animations will be used. If the left hand is unequipped and empty, then both hands will grab the spear and the two-handed animation will be used. In this pseudo-two-handed mode, you get a 20% increase in attack damage. The left hand is considered empty when using magic, holding the spear in both hands until you cast a spell.
Unique addition: When hitting a block in two-handed mode, the hit's range is reduced to 1.0, the same as the sword's range. This also applies to the stealth power attack "Plunge Attack", which reduces the attack range but also increases the attack damage by 10%.
Work in progress
Install/Uninstall
Install like normal, manually or using mod manager (recommended).
To uninstall the spear first, uncompensate the spear, reset the character to use normal animations, then save the game and exit. Uninstall the mod from the game, then update fnis again, then return to the saved game.
If you find yourself stuck in a T stance or tapping animation because you uninstalled the mod without resetting the animations to vanilla, then you can reinstall the mod and follow the steps above.
Known issues
-The left and right movement animation will not work properly when using "Magic" in left-handed and two-handed modes. This is because FNIS does not support these two animations, even though they are included.
how it works
- Additional spear animations were added by patching the behavior files using fnis.
-skse allows the script to have more functionality, we can apply animations when equipping the spear to override the standard animations.
-The quest applies an alias to a player or NPC equipped with a spear that attaches said script to the player or NPC controlling the animation.
-An additional skill that applies a damage boost to the spear when in two-handed mode, removed when the spear is unequipped.
-For more in-depth details, please contact me.
Require
SKSE and FNIS.
compatibility
-Can work with other Spear animation models without conflicts. Only this model's spears will use this model's animation.
-Will conflict with other animation modes that do the same thing.

About
This mod adds 8 spear weapons and the animation to go with it. These are of the sword type and uses the one-handed perk tree. Both the player and NPCs can use the spears along with animations. The spears can be crafted and can be found on enemies you encounter. Each spear has varied stats, for example the weak Iron Spear is fast but shorter ranged while the stronger Ebony Spear is slower but greater ranged.
For now this only works for 3rd person. Although I have a few 1st person animations made, I don't have a way to make use of it as FNIS does not support it. I'm looking at other methods to eventually include 1st persons as well.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
