Disappointed that Skyrim's cities are too barren for you? Want a little more shade in the sun? Well, this one is for you.
This mod transforms many cities across the province - as well as the village of Rorikstead - into leafy paradises.
whiterun
The northwest part of Whiterun is made into a small park. Outside the city wall, in the northwest part of the mountain, is Lover's Grove.
rift valley
Some of Riften's new trees have been matched - orange rather than green - to reflect the general color of the flora.
wind helmet
Special attention has been paid to giving Windhelm its own unique trees using new leafless textures. For those using the Summer or Tropical Mods, there is an option to use the same trees used in other cities.
Rorickstead
This small village is otherwise deserted, but is an exception to the rule, as a few trees have been planted on the "main street" and outside the Frostberry Inn.
compatibility
After testing, this mod is compatible with the following mods:
Skyrim Flora Overhaul (Regular and Summer Edition)
JK's Skyrim Lite
door of oblivion
If you have Dovahkiin's Relaxes Too, the swings in Whiterun and Solitude do let you sit on them - select the Relax power, then point at the swing and use the power key to "sit".
Should be used with:
Skyrim Regular by JK (some clipping may occur)
Dawn of Skyrim/Whiterun (some clipping may occur)
Most other plant overhauls
Things to note
Note this mod is best installed with MO2. If for some reason it doesn't install correctly with NMM, install the mod manually.
Some mods that add or modify any city, such as large buildings, houses, trees, or other structures, may cause clipping or collisions with other objects. Please inform me of this incompatibility. However, you can install modules as needed for further customization.
Lower performance/older PCs or laptops may experience frame rate drops due to increased foliage - you may also have to reduce shadow quality to improve performance.
Regarding texture quality: For performance reasons, it's fixed at 1k (or 1024x1024). If it is higher, the performance will drop a lot. Many people say that trees with normal texture sizes are satisfactory enough and have minimal impact on performance.
Due to time constraints, an open city version was not developed.
Notes on DYNDOLOD
There is a small problem with generating distant LODs of trees in a lonely world space and having them appear within it. When using DYNDOLOD to generate LODs, do not use this mod's billboard pack.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
