About this mod Machine translation

Remove your computer name and logged in username from the compiled script.

Why?

This is a simple set of files for patching the Papyrus compiler for Skyrim Special Edition (and LE - they are the same version). It always annoys me that the Papyrus compiler always puts my computer name and Windows login name in all my compiled pex files. So I made a patch to remove this stupidity.

If you don't understand what that means, it's not for you.

I make no guarantees about the security of using this patch or subsequently generated files. In limited testing, it didn't show any noticeable issues. With that said, always keep backups of all your important files.

What's wrong?

Please read the README.txt included in the archive for detailed instructions.

The why?

This is a simple set of files to patch the Papyrus Compiler for the Skyrim Special Edition (and LE - they're the same version). It always annoyed me that the Papyrus compiler put my computer name and the login name for Windows in all my compiled pex files. So I made a patch to remove this silliness.

If you don't understand the awesomeness of what this means, then this is not for you.

I give no warranty of any kind as to the safety of using this patch or the subsequently generated file. In limited testing it has not shown to have any obvious issues. With this said, always keep a backup of any important files.

The How?

Please read the README.txt included in the archive for detailed instructions.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
