Collection of minor compatibility patches with palaces and castles, enhanced load order flexibility, floatable objects/missing empty chests
Enhanced palaces and castles are a pleasant overhaul to the interiors of many unique places in Skyrim, especially in terms of scope, with few major conflicts due to the patches they come with. However, while doing the load sequence (with some ridiculous stuff added), I found that a few spots here and there would slightly float a book or place an NPC spawn point inside the wall (they would pop up after a few seconds). So I decided to go through it, propose anything I thought was needed, and share with others what their superior author approved, or just forward the changes in a merged way. All patches are .esps tagged ESL. Some of these feature patches for LE, but these were made from scratch, so objects may be in different locations - all placements involved in the following mods are my personal choices, but I tried to follow the original "theme" as much as possible. Many of these are not explicitly required and can be worked around through load order, but having the patch gives you the freedom to use both mods in order relative to each other, as long as the patch is loaded last. Each patch forwards image space changes from PCE. If you are using PCE's ELFX patch, load it last.
Accompanying patch notes
Skyrim Amulets - Moved/pinned some necklaces/rings that were floating in new locations to new surfaces.
BadGremlin's Collection AIO - Moved some fish to their proper positions in the new chamber. NOTE: The patch is for AIO, not Fishys.esp.
Skyrim Cloaks - Moved some placed cloaks to their proper locations in the new interior.
Dawnguard Arsenel - Forwarded NPC persistence/new sandbox, moved replaced weapons to new locations.
Bodywork overhaul - just a load order compatibility patch. If EEO is placed after PCE, make sure Gerda spawns in her new location
Embers HD - Loading order compatibility patch. Both mods move a shot slightly differently. Frankly, you probably won't even notice the difference without this - it's very subtle and honestly unnecessary.
Enhanced Island - Moved a patrol idle position from the Enhanced Island to the top of the new terrain.
Immersive City Gate - Move the target to match the ICG to PCE's new prison marker location, with corresponding outdoor changes, and bind into the PCE Navmesh. Please note that this is based on my cleaned version. Technically it's not required, but if you don't have it, make sure PCE is loaded lower than ICG to ensure you get the correct navmesh. I haven't tested, but I believe this should work on non-JKs builds, but not the Open City build - it has one of the three changes required, and you can manually forward the changes to xx021D73 and 00058CF8 Immersive City Gates depending on your build.
Immersive Decoration - Moved several idle markers to match the new interior
Konahrik's Outfit - Moved several objects in Dragonsreach to match the new interior
Morrowloot Miscellania - Item Distribution - Move some placed items to match the new interior.
Mystic Spotlight - Moved the Mystic Spotlight object to match the new interior.
Open Civil War - Moved several markers within the Riften lobby so they don't overlap with new objects. Tested on version 2.6.2
Realistic Water Two - Slight movement of Ash Water to match the new blacksmith slot location in Fort Dawnguard
Red flame - a book moving slightly away from the coffee table
Royal Armory - Moved a placed sword and display case to a new location to match the interior.
Skyrim Immersive Creatures - Forward changes to creatures in Fort Dawnguard to their new locations
Skyrim Underground - Changed some entrances to fit the new interior
Skyrim's Unique Treasures - Move placed objects to match new interiors.
Old Brotherhood - Moved two NPC spawn points to within range of the new interior.
DX Ursine Armor Pack - Moves the Imperial craft manual into the Castle Dour range
Vigilance - Hooked …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
