About this mod Machine translation

Automatically changes the Skyrim Cloak to the HDT variant for the player character. Pat!

describe:

This mod will change non-HDT capes from Skyrim's capes to HDT capes once in your inventory.

You can use them as your player character and give them to your followers.

I'm using Skyrim Cloak-HDT-PE (fixed by bola08) and although it works fine for the player,

It crashes NPCs in my game and causes my computer to crash through the city.

This is my attempt to alleviate these issues and contribute to a community that has contributed so much to me!

//Notice//

These cloaks behave exactly like bola08. They do not affect NPCs. If you want a complete replacement, use his replacement.

Require:

Requires Skyrim and Dawnguard options, HDT Physics Extensions, SKSE and all Skyrim DLC's capes.

COS version: You need Cloaks.esp and Cloaks-Dawnguard.esp!

CCOR versions also require full Rehad 1.7.

CCOR version: Do not load Cloaks.esp or Cloaks-Dawnguard.esp! You only need the files from COS, not the plugin.

Requiem version - CFR - Cloak of Requiem or COR - needs a finesse overhaul.

//Notice//

Drop and pick up a regular cape that's already in your inventory to have the script run on it!

If you want to occasionally see the cloak in first-person view (when you turn around quickly), you'll need the Skyrim-enhanced camera.

If you want to give cloaks to followers, use the HDT Invisibility Fix beta.

Will be compatible with anything compatible with the above mods.

The joy of perspective

renew:

The frost now adds warmth and coverage to my cape!

The next thing to do is to make the spinning wheel change HDT Linen -> HDT Linen.

When they leave stock, an option or functionality needs to be added to change them back to non-HDT.

As much as I like, I have no plans to apply HDT physics to "winter is coming, it's wet and cold".

I haven't done anything with XML HDT (have no clue), so bola08's words still apply:

Known issues:

Like many things in Gamebryo, Havok physics is tied to the game's frame rate. As a result, an FPS below 40ish or your CPU being stressed will often cause the cloak to malfunction. Also, FPS above 60 will break Havok, so use v-sync.

I didn't see an impact on performance, but if your game doesn't perform well, the HDT cape may not be for you.

//Notice//

WaitBusyRenderer=true in enblocal.ini can solve many HDT problems. That said, I don't recommend doing this as it will also have a significant impact on performance.

This mod covers 111 of the 121 COS cloaks and 3 of the 4 campfire cloaks; Dragon Priest Cloak, Daedric Cloak and Travel Cloak, Fur does not have an HDT mesh and is therefore not supported.

Followers: While I have found them to work well as followers, some have reported that they become invisible in the changing cells. This seems to be an issue with HDT physics and Gamebryo for NPCs. **Using HDT stealth fix beta**

UV Mapping: These meshes have the same issues that Skyrim Cloak suffers from. UVs are not mapped correctly, texture set is not used. Not a big deal with this mod, but something to be aware of.

Body HDT: Not tested for any body HDT. KNIGHTMARE077's body HDT works with my cape. Choose your body mod.

If you want a complete replacement, it can be found at Lover's Lab - Skyrim Cloak - HDT-PE - Repaired by bola08.

Big thanks to Chesko for guiding me through the script!

I believe I've finally found the original author, but please forgive me if I'm wrong. Google Translate can only do so much.

bola08 for fixed mesh and CTD

Noodles of his skyrim cloak

Porting to SSE is now open. Just trust me and my credits.

Thanks to the many people who worked on the HDT section

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
