About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds wearable Netch Leather armor to Skyrim, a type of armor seen in its original form in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

I'm not the author of the mod, it's a simple port of SSE with permission from the author. If you like this mod, please endorse the original mod Morrowind Armor - Netch Leather, all points go to THusky.

Used Creation Kit to convert esp, used Cathedral Assets Optimizer to optimize meshes and textures, all meshes were cleaned with NifSkope, no mods will work. Thanks Oaristys for the help.

This mod adds wearable 'Netch Leather' armor to Skyrim, a type of armor that first appeared (to date) in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Netch leather armor is traditionally an exclusive craft of the Dunrow of Morrowind and Solstheim; they use Netch Leather because it is richer than regular leather on Morrowind, and the armor itself is designed not only to protect the wearer in combat, but also to provide an element of comfort and protection.

This mod adds a full set of balanced, lore-friendly light armor, including several different helmets, cuirass, bracers, boots + shield, and more protection Netch Boiled Leather helmet + cuirass.

Netch Leather Armor provides more protection than standard leather armor and is lighter, Netch Boiled Leather Armor provides the same protection as Elven Armor.

Netch Leather armor is fully compatible with all races, genders and standard body types.

The helmet shows long hair at the back and the gloves show claws on the beast's hands.

There are also 4 varieties of helmets;

  • Full-face helmet - The head is covered by the helmet and the face is covered by the mask and goggles.
  • Open the helmet - the head is covered by the helmet but the face is exposed, the goggles are placed on the forehead and the mask is pulled down under the chin.
  • Half Helmet - A helmet that covers the head but has no goggles or visor.
  • Face Masks - Only goggles and face shields without a helmet, which may be used in combination with other helmets that do not cover the face.

Circles can be worn on all types of helmets.

Wear a helmet with goggles and a visor to protect against wet and cold ash storms.

Some NPCs named Dunmer and the occasional Dunmer gangster in Solstheim can be seen wearing Netch Leather armor.

Netch Leather armor uses standard definition textures.

You can craft Netch Leather armor at any Forge, the recipe can be found under the 'Leather' category; crafting regular Netch Leather armor requires the 'Iron Smithing' perk, and to craft Netch Boiled Leather armor, you need to have the Elven Smithing perk.

Netch leather armor requires Netch Leather and Netch Leather Strips to create, and Netch Leather requires improvement on the Workbench. Helmets with visors require chitin plates and shields require iron ingots.

Netch leather can be obtained on the island of Solstheim, sold by blacksmiths and traders, or from the bodies of slain Netch.

Netch Leather is also sold in Skyrim mainland by 2 merchants; Revyn Sadri from 'Sadri's Used Wares' in Windhelm and Brand-Shei from Riften Market. Both merchants sell all the materials needed to craft Netch Leather armor, and will equip the armor from level 10+.

Netch leather stripes can be made on Netch Leather's Tanning Rack.

Netch Boiled Leather armor needs to be crafted using Netch Boiled Leather and Netch Leather Strips, and Netch Boiled Leather needs to be improved on Workbench.

Netch Boiled Leather can be crafted in the Netch Leather and Netch Jelly cooking pots.

Retexture by HeirOfTheSeptem: Replacement texture pack provided by HeirOfTheSeptem.

Boring version: Contains only armor crafting recipes, no other features, does not modify NPCs or level lists.

Some areas of the armor may not accurately show blood spatter or snow/ash powder.

Would you retrofit this armor to UNP/CBBE/etc. Body type?

I have no plans, but if anyone else wants to, I'd be happy to include …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
