About this mod Machine translation

This adds a light, fast sword to the tunnel under Helgen Keep, so you can have a decent, but not terribly powerful weapon when starting the game.

Known as the Old Adventurer's Sword, it was found next to what may be the skeleton of an old adventurer who met his untimely fate in Helgen Keep.

This sword acts like steel, even though it weighs about 3 pounds. It has a slightly faster swing speed than the vanilla sword, at 1.15, (1.0 for the vanilla sword, 1.3 for the dagger) and deals 9 base damage (iron sword = 7, steel sword = 8), and can be upgraded on any whetstone with steel ingots. Aesthetically, it's an iron sword blade and a steel hilt, with their colors slightly modified to help it match. Other than that nothing special. This is just a slightly better weapon to help you in the early game.

This adds a light, fast sword to the tunnel under Helgen Keep, so you can have a decent, but not insanely potent, weapon when starting the game.

It is called the Old Adventurer's Sword, and it is found next to the skeleton of what was presumably an old adventurer, who met his untimely fate in Helgen Keep.

The sword functions as steel, though it weighs a roughly realistic 3 lbs.  It swings slightly faster than a vanilla swords, at 1.15, (vanilla swords are 1.0 and daggers are 1.3) and does 9 base damage (iron swords = 7 and steel swords =8) and can be upgraded at any grinding stone, with a steel ingot.  Aesthetically, it is an iron sword blade and a steel sword hilt, with their coloring slightly modified to help it match.  There's otherwise nothing special about this. It's just a slightly better weapon to help you in early game.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
