NPCs React To Necromancy
Despite what the game and lore say, for the most part, NPCs don't really react to necromancy in any way. You could walk into town with a dead body and no one would bat an eyelid. With this mod, NPCs will now react in ways that reflect their prejudice against those who openly practice the dark arts.

About this mod Machine translation

- NPC reaction to necromancy-
While I was working on a certain Magic Quest mod, I realized that Phinis, the magic scholar, was always talking about how Nords don't like magic, and that you shouldn't summon atronachs or anything like that near them, and how you should under no circumstances raise corpses near towns because it's particularly frowned upon.
However, the NPCs barely react to anything you summon, so I think vanilla could use a little polish.
Features:
- Approximately 150 new reactions, stitched together from original lines.
-Only meaningful NPCs will react (no surprise to mages or people familiar with spells)
- Most of the new reactions revolve around necromancy, but other types of summoned creatures also have specific lines.
- The mod does not edit individual vanilla records, so... is compatible with everything.
- ESL and safe installation mid-game.
- These are rare, but some reactions may have consequences...or not, since it's optional. More information below.

Consequences are completely optional. If you choose to enable them, they will follow the following rules:
If you cast a normal summon (not UNDEAD) on an NPC, they may be shocked or distrustful, but there will be no consequences.
If you summon a dead slave or skeleton etc. However, around NPCs, it has the potential to affect the NPC's perception of you from that point forward:
- About 80% of the time: NPCs will react with shock or confusion, unsure of what's going on... but with no particular consequences, just reactions.
- About 20% of the time: They might realize you're a dirty necromancer and start hating you.
Basically: Their relationship level with you will be reduced to a maximum of -1. This does not affect friends/followers/family. In game terms, this means they will remember you as a Necromancer and will be rude when talking to you in the future.
The guards will warn you to cut it off and some of them may even try to arrest you if you don't leave/stop. While most guards won't go this far, the more you piss them off, the greater the chance they'll try to arrest you.

- Are consequences enabled by default?
Yes, they don't really interfere with gaming, but they're a nice touch, so I recommend leaving them on.
- I just want reactions. How to disable consequences?
You can install an optional plugin to disable consequences, or you can do it yourself by typing: "set Reactions_Guard to 2" in the console after installing the mod. Either way, the result is the same.
- Are there any consequences for using spells that have nothing to do with necromancy?
Won't. There are certain reactions to those hex spells, but no consequences.
- What examples of lines are there in the mod?
Some of the best are probably... "That's disgusting, get that rotting corpse away from me!" / "You have a creepy companion there." / That... thing... is unnatural! ". There are plenty of examples in the mod's images, but if you hear a cool line in the game that you'd like to share, please let me know!
-I don't know about playing the Necromancer, is this mod worth installing?
I would say yes. Necron-related lines make up about 70% of the new lines, but the remaining 30% are general shocks or even specific lines related to certain spells (eg: Of course, of course! Why not summon an atronach to cause some chaos, great idea!!)
- The guard doesn't seem to want to arrest me?
As mentioned above, it is based on random chance. The more you "provoke" the reanimated undead guards around them, the better chance they have of making e …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
