About this mod Machine translation
Head scratching animation, pants shitting, thinking, checking pockets in Riften... 22 eligible NPC idles, using DAR folders and lots of less obvious animations to fix inconsistencies: for example, preventing NPCs from staying in sync. Applies to NPCs added by mods and vanilla. No esp/esl!
Requires MOD: SKSE-Dynamic Animation Replacer
MOD already exists
"Live and see!" - My intention in making this mod:)
NPC Animation Remix adds more animations to your game to help NPCs look more alive and dynamic:
4 new variants of mt_idle.hkx for NPCs - Greatly reduces the likelihood of followers synchronizing! My mod is especially helpful for Inigo, Lucien, Skeever, Kaidan and any other minion with the default focus pack
Made animation inconsistencies with NPCs stumbling and being unable to start the "casual idle" animation loop less noticeable
Add some new animations that have not been used before, are used infrequently, and have the right conditions... immersive if you can
You can easily add other DAR modules through me: Immersive Namaste and Conditional Tavern Cheers
Need to read information:
You can install this mod while playing or disable/uninstall/reinstall/update at any time!
This mod does not require Nemesis or FNIS to work. Only requires dynamic animation replacer
No Conflict: Using unpopular folder numbers in an attempt to avoid other modders.
If you want to use my mod in your game with a bunch of other DAR mods and animations, you can write an article here with all the information on the DAR mod you want to combine with this and I will be able to give you advice on how to do it.
Mods EVG Conditional Idles and EVG Animation Variance are taken into account and this mod is fully compatible with this mods default folder priority number (since I use both in my game).
If you want to install any replacement animation pack next to my mod such as "Leviathan Animations - Female Idle Walk And Run" you can easily do that. Install it in your mod manager and place it in a folder below this mod folder - the mt_idle.hkx replacer from the replacer mod will blend into my mod.
If you want to add Sky Idles on top of this, please select "Sky Idles Alternate Version" in the files of the Sky Idles mod to download
You can safely install it for Skyrim VR - I didn't use the "IsInCombat()" condition
If you prefer the vanilla shield location, install the patch from the optional files
If you use EVG Animation Variance and special animations for seniors, please install the patch from the optional files
Delete my previous version of the mod and all its files, then update - "Replace" option in the mod manager. Don't forget to add the required patches - these files can be merged with the main folder or installed separately
If during/after installation some kind of error occurs or in-game animations don't play and you see static poses, rename the mod folder in your mod manager to "NPCAR DAR" and it will fix the issue (if not - start the topic in a new "Errors" section).
No need to read information:
DAR folder priority and what it's doing
2002011 - Optional folder with vanilla shield location patch. Merged with the Shield Patch 1.1.0 from Immersive Folded Hands 1.1.0, if you have it installed
1759 - Briefly idle, coughing lungs out for NPC, health below full health - small chance of seeing, animation named mt_idle_a_sway_fast.hkx
1758 - - Chance of drowsy nodding in the hours between 21:00 and 9:00
1757 - NPCs look far away if they leave the city walls during the hours between 6am and 22pm
Small chance 1756 - If an NPC is in an open world cell with a hive nearby, there's a chance they'll have a brief moment of free time to swing for insects - almost none which makes me happy :)
1755 - Riften's NPCs have a chance to check their pockets from time to time (except Thieves Guild, Beggars and Maven)
1750 - Clothed NPCs have a chance to scratch their backs or tuck clothes back into their hands with rights (excluding nobles, bards and clerics)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
