SSE port w/fixes and minor changes. This mod adds decidedly friendly bathhouses to Markarth, Solitude, Morthal, Whiterun, Dawnstar, Windhelm and Riften.

Popular Files Mod!!! Thank you all for your support and interest!

SSE port of the original mod.

VR compatible (I play VR, so I know).

  • SSE confirmed via: Form 44, and ported to a compatible grid.

Ported with open permission from the original author. Includes fixes for Harpalus.

The mod is ported for personal use, but I upload it for others to use.

Original Mod:

How is this different from the original mod?

Vanilla NPC editing removed. So no more gray/black face bugs.

Using the bathroom/sauna now makes sense. Players gain the "Easy Disposal" positive effect when using the facility that increases skill level and bargains for 12 hours.

Customers who want to add a permanent bath to their bathroom. NPC does not have the trouble of NPC overhaul incompatibility.

Open permissions - Thanks to Maxinuz for opening permissions. Thanks to Harpalus for providing the fix and allowing others to share.

Author's Note - Actually, the entire mod is based on vanilla grid. One thing I edited was some texture, but I don't consider it my own. So if you still want to use something here - feel free.

Nectar?

  • No. NPCs undress while bathing, but the naked body defaults to whatever texture/body replacement you have installed.
  • No body replacer installed? Then they wear underwear.
  • Have you installed the Naked Body Replacer? Then the NPC will be naked.

JK Skyrim

  • Compatible via Patch in misc file. Thanks to TeaBag86 for providing the patch. If you use patches, be sure to give +Kudos

original description

Remember driving long roads through the frozen Skyrim tundra, fighting dragons, and camping outdoors? Well, I think we all know what it is. And I always think something is missing when I get home. A relaxing place to be - but in such a cold and windy land, a tavern isn't enough for complete relaxation. So I decided to add a bathhouse to each city. I added one in Markarth, Solitude, Morthal, Whiterun, Dawnstar and Riften. Bathrooms are more than separate buildings or cells. They are closely connected to every city. Each bathhouse has its own name, style (depending on the appearance and prosperity of the city), and citizens are aware of its existence, so they will rest in the evenings after get off work.

Hoarfrost bathhouse is located in Whiterun, behind Arcadia's Cauldron. It's a small cabin with a steam room and some space to cool off. It was built many years ago at the initiative of the fighting clans, who are still its rightful owners. They allow everyone to use it freely.

The Riften's bathhouse is located in the basement of the Bee And Barb pub. Talen has always wanted to provide customers with a good sauna,

Not long ago he and Kirava were able to complete the establishment. It is free to all who wish to visit. Even Maven likes to rest there

at night.

Due to Hjaalmarch's humid climate, the people of Morthal like to stay dry. They initially opposed opening a bathhouse. But things soon changed when the idea of creating a bathhouse with healing powers came to life. The water in the bathroom is said to be infused with special herbs; a secret recipe known only to the owner. Whatever it is, it certainly combats physical and mental pain.

The Windhelm baths were called Njári Haftungur and have quite the story... A fragment of an old book found in Windhelm's library states the following: "The Nords were great lovers and connoisseurs of traditional Nordic saunas, so it was not for the use in Windhelm that it was built in the first era and was right next to the King's Palace so the Jarls could visit it as they pleased. Many years passed and the Jarls changed, but Njári Haftungur remained a very popular place to relax. [...] The Dark Ages even touched upon Njári Haftun …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
