Knowledge:
Unlike the savage hunter, whose trophies are the bones and skins of the animals he hunts, and the enemies he kills, the adventurer lives for the next discovery, the next grave, the next crypt. The adventurer's trophies are not the flesh and bones of his enemies, but the armor and weapons he collects at the end of each adventure. Never practical, he would not burden himself with fancy trinkets and rich clothing. He keeps his spoils at home and keeps his sword arm free. Others showed off their strength by going shirtless, sleeveless, no pants, and no open-toed shoes, while adventurers wore full winter attire that was both warm and form-fitting. This protected him from the biting chill of the biting winds on the frozen tundra. He kept the armor clean but not polished so it wouldn't be easily spotted by the glare. The armor was cold to the touch and he packed it with thick coats and furs. He is a collector and historian who occasionally adds an ancient piece of armor worn by Draugr to his suit to assess its enduring durability and strength. This armor is perfect for explorers of ancient ruins, archers, woodsmen and women, rogues, fallen nobles, and a variety of other role-playing characters.
This armor is a fusion of steel and northern plate armor combination, with the addition of Draugr elements. Although the steel and north plate armors were very strict and strong respectively, this armor was much stronger and more durable. Steel and Norse Plate are two of my favorite armors, and I wanted to combine them in a meaningful way. My previous WIP attempts didn't make it this far, and grid issues and corrupted files complicated progress. Hoping to start cleaning, I refinished the entire armor from scratch in a few days. Although much of the old armor has been thrown away, subtle elements of the original armor remain. A lot has been added or changed so the overall look is quite different from the original.
This mod adds some items to the game. The set includes breastplate, gauntlets, boots and helmet. Khajits, Argonians and Orcs use steel helmets. The humanoid race uses a unique race that combines steel helmets with flat helmets. All equipment is available to both men and women. The models are the same for both genders, but both look good.
There will not be a female-only version due to three things:
A) The differences between men's and women's clothing are too great to blend well together.
B) The Ulfric costume does not have a feminine texture, so it can be used on the female version.
C) I think the male version actually looks good on them.
There are two types of armor: light and heavy. The heavy version has the same stats as the Nord Plate (steel version), while the light version has the same stats as the Scaled. Both groups use relatively the same amount of materials to craft, and both use steel for upgrades in the appropriate upgrade areas. The ground model used is the Steel ground model.
The armor uses vanilla textures and therefore will be affected by any retexturing mods you use that change the affected armor. This can be beneficial as you can customize your armor. These files do not contain textures, but the texture folder is added to your data/textures/section in case something changes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
