Nightweaver's Band - Not the Silly Version
By Patman3030
Recipe for Disaster is probably the most disappointing quest in the Dark Brotherhood quest line, and the worst part of it is the reward. There's no calling in assassins or seeing the future here. Just a crappy ring is easily surpassed by the junk you find at the end of the dungeon. So I went into CK and made the Festus Lying Ring and said this was to start with: a little extra "oomph" to your invisibility and spells. The ring now adds 25% damage and subtracts 25% of the cost from all your destruction spells - but only if you are undetected. The 10% stealth boost has been increased to 15%. I've also added a better model, courtesy of Ghosu.
Post any errors in comments. I'm by no means perfect.

Not sure why you need to use it for anything, but if you just give it appropriate credit.

Recipe for Disaster was probably the most disappointing quest in the Dark Brotherhood questline, and the worst part of it was the reward. No summoned assassins or seeing into the future here. Just a crummy ring easily outdone by garbage you find at the end of a dungeon. So I went into the CK and made the ring what Festus lied and said it was to begin with: a little extra "oomph" to your stealth and spells. The ring now adds 25% damage and subtracts 25% cost from all your destruction spells - but only while you're undetected. The 10% sneak boost has been increased to 15%. I also added a fancier model, courtesy of Ghosu.
Post any bugs in the comments. I'm by no means perfect.

No idea why you'd need to use this for anything, but if you do just give proper credit.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
