About this mod Machine translation
Legend-friendly HD star and spiral galaxy textures.
The Cathedral Project is the largest and most optimized visual transformation ever created for Skyrim. It covers all meshes, textures, weather, lighting, plants, water and LODs contributed by numerous authors. Cathedral Project provides SSE, VR or Skyrim Together users with a seamless, beautiful and simple experience in a highly compatible way with virtually no performance cost.
As we neared completion of the cathedral, we decided to release the project in large chunks. This mod page is for the night sky from the Cathedral Project.
- The stars were designed from scratch, using vanilla star background colors. 4k stars were deemed unnecessary as the texture tiles are repeated over and over again across the sky.
- Milky Way adapted from this image (Free for personal and commercial use. No attribution required). Choose 4k resolution because this texture is only tiled twice on the sky. There are two versions - one is blue, like the vanilla galaxy (Blue Lore version), and the other is transparent and desaturated, providing a more realistic night sky (Milky Realism version).
- This mod is designed to be used with Obsidian Weather and Seasons. Results will obviously vary with ENB or other weather patterns.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
