Mysticism - Magic Overhaul
Mysticism is a comprehensive magic overhaul, adding over 200 carefully balanced spells to the game. The spells are designed to feel like they belong in a world beyond, both mechanically and aesthetically. You can buy them from vendors, loot them from dungeons, or find them in carefully chosen locations around the world. Many of these spells reintroduce magic archetypes from previous games, or expand on new magic archetypes (such as sun magic and gray magic). In addition to adding new spells, Mysticism has also heavily remade some vanilla spells. By adding new spells and rebalancing existing spells as part of the same project, Mysticism is able to provide users with a coherent and balanced magic experience in the early, mid and late game.

alteration
In vanilla, the changes are mostly defensive magic for a school, with a bit of a practical side. Mysticism greatly increases the defensive potential of the changes and adds dozens of new utility options, such as packages Mule and SlowFall. Additionally, Mysticism adds several new options for controlling or bringing out enemies, making Alteration the ultimate support school for just about every play style.
Flesh spells have been significantly nerfed. Dragonhide no longer invalidates investments in mage armor.
Added new spell to temporarily increase elemental resistance. Only one element can be resisted at a time.
New utility spells allow players to open locks, increase movement speed or carry weight, and even enhance unarmed damage.
Weaknesses to the fire, frost, shock, and poison spells have been introduced as counterparts to elemental defense spells.
New spells allow altering the mage to reduce enemy attack damage, bring up enemy armor, and even damage dwarf automatons.
Paralysis has been moved to illusion (sorry!)
Gray magic has been redesigned as a replacement for paralysis. In addition to Ash Shards and Ash Runes, you can now reduce enemy movement speed with spells such as Encircle World or Weight.
Telepathy spells are now a reliable source of damage. If you're into that, you can kill bandits by throwing cheese wheels at them.
Mark and recall spells allow rapid travel around the horizon.

curse
The spell allows its practitioner to summon powerful beings from the Oblivion plane. Unfortunately, in vanilla Skyrim, it seems to only have two or three mobs in it. The variety of available summons has been greatly expanded in Mysticism, giving players more options both mechanically and aesthetically. Additionally, spells have received several new utility spells to help manage summons, and bound weapons are now viable throughout the game.
Dozens of new spells to summon ghostly predators, Dremora, skeletons, shadows, Dunmer ancestral spirits, and even dwarven automatons!
Summons are balanced between three archetypes: melee damage - dealer, ranged damage - dealer and tank. Each archetype has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Resurrection spells now affect higher level targets when dual cast.
Several new utility spells allow warlocks to dismiss …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
