Eliminate camera shake, head shake and FOV zoom. For first and third person. All animations remain as is. Designed for motion sickness sufferers

about

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------

This MOD will remove camera movement and FOV zoom in first and third person modes. These are all vanilla animations, except now there's no camera shake, no head shaking, no zooming in when blocking with a shield, etc.

sprint

-First Person: Head bobbing and FOV completely eliminated. Preserve the sound of footsteps.

-Third person perspective: Lower the gaze of the moved head to an extremely low minimum gaze. while retaining the sound of footsteps.

attack

  • First Person View: Removed all camera shake from all weapon types and made it close.

-Third Person View: Minimizes the overall FOV of all dash attacks and dash power attacks.

piece

  • First Person View: Removed zoomed-in view when keeping view on shields and all weapon types.

stagger

-Both: Eliminate camera shake. Preserve staggered animation (more noticeable in third person view).

NOTE: Some animations still retain some positional movement, such as "Blocky Strike, Sneak Attack", but all rocking movement is gone. I can't quite figure these out, maybe I'll figure it out later when I dig into the behavior files, but so far I can't find any changes.

Kill Moves: I couldn't make any progress on this and will look into it in a future version. If this is an issue for you, there are mods and ways to turn it off.

How this mod works

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------

After hours of diving into animation data with hex code, I was able to identify and find the data blocks for AnimObjectA and Camera Control, which are used for camera movement (swing, wobble, etc.) and FOV scaling as shown (sprint, block) and then just zero out those values to eliminate the camera's movement.

5/10/2020 - Converted to SE.

4/16/2019 - Version 1.3

  • Added support for crossbow.

3/18/2019 - Version 1.2

  • Fixed incorrect camera angles for dual guns, staffs and magic when sprinting in third person

-Fixed male dash animation bug, where females were previously used.

  • Removed the behavior file, eliminating all conflicts related to it.

3/17/2019 - Version 1.1

  • Switched to using .bsa and fixed issues with FNIS and other animation modules.
  • Thanks to the issue pointed out by ilovecarpet, fixing 1 handblock using only one weapon.
  • Removed earlier versions for redundancy.

2019/3/12-Added (custom compatible attack) version, more friendly with FNIS and other versions.

This version only includes modifications to non-attack animations and will not conflict with custom attack animations.

  • Version 1.0c: Fixed an issue where the camera would swing up and down when dashing with a 2h sword/hammer/axe.

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------

compatibility

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------

Vanilla animations have been replaced with a non-shaky camera version of this module. If you are using custom animations with the built-in panning camera, this mod will have no effect on those animations.

FNIS:

This mod should be fully compatible with FNIS. Previous versions had issues with FNIS being able to detect my mod's animations, but now that I'm using the .bsa method it no longer interferes with FNIS update checks.

Behavior files - This mod no longer uses such files.

Troubleshooting/ …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
