About this mod Machine translation
Just like the title says.
Okay, listen up, moms, because I have a problem! Skyrim's spell compendium is so cheap! Well, I'm not happy about that!
Vanilla usage:
You've just joined the College of Winterhold, and all spells are cheap. Compare this to real life: you go to college and you have to spend a fortune on textbooks... Textbooks at the College of Winterhold are so cheap that it ruins immersion! The bottom line is that magic is a luxury item in Skyrim; most of the province is populated by witch-eating, magic-fearing, mystical Nords who have an absolute ZERO talent for magic, so it only makes sense that spell vendors have to charge more to make money from a smaller pool of buyers, especially since magic is, like I said, a luxury item.
Intended use:
I made this mod for myself. But I decided to post it for anyone who feels the same way I do. Recently, I installed a mod called Spell Research, it's a great mod that adds a fantastic way to learn and improve magic; however, there is little incentive to use this mod as it consumes resources, why can you buy spellbooks from a vendor? So I installed another mod recommended on the Spell Research mod page called No Spell Tomes as Loot From Vendors which removes all tomes from the inventory. Another mod recommended on the Spell Research page is Dynamic Item Repricer, but it doesn't work for me and I would like to change the value of the outline based on utility and skill level, rather than just changing it uniformly, all based on the parameters of the "spelled version". Using Spell Research you can craft spell masters with time, mental energy, and resources, but since spell outlines have no value and therefore absolutely no incentive, crafting them is a big waste of time. I want to make a profit by making them as they are very rare patterns to remove them, Supply and demand indicate they will be more valuable: Court wizards and mages at Winter College need spells but they may not have the time to create them, but they are very rare, so demand for them is high, and supply is low, so you can recharge mages!
Frequently Asked Questions:
- Is this a bit unbalanced?
fuck
How do you make this mod?
I went into C.K. and added 1-2 zeros to the end of the value of each spell version for Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn
- What determines added value?
I mention this briefly in the "Intended Use" section of the description, but it's based on usefulness and skill level. If there's a crazy useful spell (ie paralysis) I multiply it by 100, but if it's fairly useless (ie any ward spell) I multiply it by 10. If it's a main spell (ie blizzard) I multiply it by 10 because those things are already 1000-2000 gold in the base game, so 10000-20000 is a huge number. The only exception to this rule is Mass Paralysis, since this spell is so powerful.
- Do you have the patience to do that? ! Are you a God of infinite time?
No, Skyrim has all kinds of spell variations; it took me about 20 minutes
- Do I need the two mods you named to use it?
Are you fucking illiterate? Read the first part of the instructions!
- Will you make a patch for [insert x magic mod here]?
No, I don’t have the time or patience, so fuck it!
- Do people really ask these questions?
No, I just want to call this section "FAQ" for making charts and chords
- If the supplier can't afford it, why are you doing it?
Because of the reason... I don't actually have an answer that will apply to everyone, but for me, I have my own mods that allow me to sell them at these values
- Why vulgar description of a simple mod?
Because fuck you, that's why.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
