About this mod Machine translation
Renovate the bedrooms in the Markarth Abandoned House to make it more suitable as a player's home.
describe
When completing the "House of Horrors" mission, Morag Bal said to you: "Please take care of the house while I'm gone." I said to myself: "Why? I have nothing left!" So I decided to change that. The Molag Bal house made various changes to the bedrooms of the house, adding an enchantment + alchemy table, a bookshelf that can hold 54 books, a better bed, some Dwemer-themed objects, retuned lighting and fog, and removing some clutter. THoMB will not touch any NPCs, nor will it interfere with the House of Horrors quest itself. File has been cleared in SSEEdit 4.0.3.
compatibility
Any modifications that might alter the interior of the abandoned home were out of the question. Provides patches to enhance lighting and FX.
Should be compatible with any mod that changes the quest itself or NPCs.
Install
It's better to install a module manager (I recommend using Module Manager 2).

DESCRIPTION
When completing The House of Horrors quest, Molag Bal says to you, "Take care of the house while I'm gone." I thought to myself, "Why? There's nothing here for me!" So I decided to change that. The House of Molag Bal makes various changes to the bedroom of the house, adding an Enchanting + Alchemy table, a bookshelf with space for 54 books, a better bed, some Dwemer-themed objects, re-adjusts lights and fog, and removes some of the clutter. THoMB does not touch any NPCs nor does it interfere at all with the House of Horrors quest itself. Files have been cleaned in SSEEdit 4.0.3.
COMPATIBILITY
Most likely INCOMPATIBLE with any mods that change the interior of the Abandoned House. A patch for Enhanced Lights and FX is available.
Should be COMPATIBLE with any mods that change the quest itself or NPCs.
INSTALLATION
Preferably install with a mod manager (I recommend Mod Organizer 2).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
