Momo Acrobatic Jump SSE

by xp32·v1.0·Updated 2020-01-30

First time doing something like this, but since I've seen a lot of other mods putting Oldrim overviews into their SSE builds, I'll do the same thing - xp32 "Struggling with jumping to the same action, whether jumping forward or backward? This mod just adds a new animation for jumping backward, with more styles

First time doing something like this, but since I've seen a lot of other mods putting Oldrim overviews into their SSE builds, I'll do the same thing - xp32 "Struggling with jumping to the same action, whether jumping forward or backward? This mod just adds a new animation for jumping backward, with more styles

Here's my attempt at Momo's acrobatic jump to Skyrim Special Edition. This is my first time doing something like this, so it might be a bit cumbersome. I've tested this in game and it works fine, but seeing as there are many different game states out there it may not hold true. I hope everyone can tolerate this really stable process as I want to bring a lot of Oldrim animations into SSE

Give the original some love and maybe approve of it: Momo's acrobatic jump

Oldrim description:

Ever struggled with jumping the same motion, whether jumping forward or backward? This mod just adds new animations to jump backwards for more styles. Please keep in mind that this is not a replacement but will not work with any jump mods except Mirap's bowl jump animation fix or "them" to make them compatible with mine and vice versa. Are you confused because I said it's not an animation replacement? is the big difference between new animation path and event new action, they are related to each other, if I replace it, jumping forward will be the same as jumping backward. Gaming and 3-way movement...huh? ! Yes..Only three..What did I do? I did 4.

Still don't understand? Please, don't bother. The question is whether you like it... I do like it.

If you just want to use animations for your characters, use FNIS PCEA2-Player Exclusive Animation (Dynamic) SE (I'll try to do this once someone figures it out and I can make a guide if anyone knows)

Install:

Note: I only use Mod Organizer, so I'm not sure how this will translate to other methods (if anyone lets me know if other methods work, please let me know and I'll update this).

  • Download and put into Mod Organizer
  • Run Config FNIS and make sure "Gender Specific Animations" and xp32 "Momo Acrobatic Jump" are checked (maybe "SKELETON Arm Fix" is checked too, so I'm not sure if I need it)
  • Run FNIS
  • Start flipping across the sky

After I knew it was working fine I updated the version to 1.0

This is my attempt on bringing Momo Acrobatic Jump to Skyrim Special Edition. This is the first time I've ever done something like this so there may be some kinks to iron out. I've tested this on my game and it was working fine, but seeing as there is many different game states out there that may not hold true. I hope everyone can bare with me in getting this truly stable, cause I'd like to bring a lot of Oldrim animations into SSE

Ever annoyed with same motion with jumping whether it's jumping forward or backward? This mod simply add new animation for backward jump with more style. Remember this one IS NOT REPLACER but will not work to any jump mod except Mirap's bowlegged jump animation Fix or "they' made theirs to compatible to mine, not vice versa. You're got confused because I say it's not animation replacer? Listen there are big difference between New Animation path and New Action of Event. Both of them are related to each other. If I Just replace it, forward jump is going to be the same as backward jump. There 4 directional Action of Event for directional jump in the game and 3 Directional motion...Huh?! yeah.. it's just three.. What did I do? I made it 4.

Still don't understand? Please, don't bother bcoz of that. The problem is whether you like it or not... and I do love it.

If you want to use the animation only for your character use FNIS PCEA2 - Player Exclusive Animations (dynamic) SE    (I'll try to make a how to for this once I figure it out, if anyone knows let me know so I can make a guide)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
