A new Redoran style lighthouse has been added to the entrance to Solstheim Pier complete with new custom grid. No more hitting basalt columns!
Solstheim Lighthouse adds a new Redoran style lighthouse and custom grid (custom clash) to the edge of Solstheim Island at the marina entrance. I couldn't find an existing resource, so I spent a few hours whipping it up from scratch. If you like it, don't forget to like it!
I've been working on some details for Solstheim in preparation for the upcoming game, and have been thinking that the island could use a lighthouse. Solsheim is foggy and full of ash, so I can't imagine it being easy to navigate as a sailor coming to port. Not to mention, its beaches are covered in basalt columns, which can easily take apart a boat. Sailors, rejoice!

New lighthouse mesh (custom collision). Use vanilla textures, so your Raven Rock/Bulwark textures will be used.
Lighthouses, flames and glows are marked "Is LOD" so they can be seen from a distance.
Decorated with fires, lights, banners, rowboats and guards, they will be standing near the entrance 24/7.
Functional doors allow you to climb to the top of the lighthouse. This is done via a small script that runs when you activate the door to avoid editing navigation. Followers won't follow you, but there's no room for it anyway.
The 2 vanilla editors simply moved the ash pile and moved the basalt column out of where the lighthouse was.
While you're at it, grab this little Skaal fishing camp I just posted, featuring a new Skaal tent mesh/texture.
FAQ.
Question: "Can you do this for Oldrim?"
A: I don't have Oldrim/LE installed but I will see if I can as time permits.
Q: "Does this conflict with XYZ mod?"
Answer: Unless there is something exactly where the lighthouse is, no. Please tell me.
Ask: “Can you add this?”
A: Maybe. It's just a simple little thing that I think is really cool and might be useful to others.
Question: "Did you know how long your feet are from your wrist to your elbow?"
A: Yes! Very weird, man.
enjoy your meal! Happy New Year!

Solstheim Lighthouse adds a new Redoran style lighthouse with a custom made mesh (with custom collision) to the edge of the Solstheim island, at the inlet of the docks. I couldn't find an existing resource, so I took a couple hours and whipped this up from scratch. Don't forget to endorse if you like it!
I've been peppering some detail into Solstheim to prepare for an upcoming playthrough, and always thought that the island could use a lighthouse. Solstheim is foggy, and laden with ash, so I can't imagine it's easy to navigate as a sailor coming to port. Not to mention, its beaches are covered in those basalt columns, which would bash a ship apart with ease. Sailors, rejoice!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
