Overview
This mod contains a set of compatibility patches that I made while putting the following mods together in the game:
Dragonborn v5 legacy
Blue Palace Terrace in Dringen
Palace and castle enhancements
Increase feelings of loneliness
Enhanced Lonely Pier
lonely skyway
royal mail
motivation
So I started with the goal of patching Blue Palace Terrace with Palaces and Castles Enhanced Edition, which is the biggest missing piece on this list that no one seems to be working on. I also want to use all the other above mentioned mods in the game.
After conducting a survey of existing patches, I learned that existing patches vary widely in quality and flexibility. The most promising seems to be Cheesetoast8's patch, which is pretty good. Unfortunately, there are still downsides, as they don't work with Imperial Mail and every patch provided requires LOTD, which feels more flexible than I'd like.
I figured that if I were to make a real BPT-PCE patch, and I was going to further tweak Cheesetoast8's patch for my own game anyway, I might as well go all the way and see if I could recreate a more modular patch set. This is what I ended up doing.
Much of the content in these patches is conflict resolution work originally found in cheesetoast8's patches and is reused with his/her permission. I basically took cheesetoast8's patches as a starting point, refactored them to be more modular, redefined them in some ways to my own aesthetic taste, added the PCE patches to the fray, and ended up with a bunch of new patches.
These patches have the following goals:
Be as modular as possible - each patch only handles one issue, multiple patches are used together to handle multiple issues
As clean as possible - edits outside of conflict resolution are kept to a minimum (though admittedly not zero - the exception is the new high-end Skyway patio door), and I've worked very hard to remove accidental unnecessary edits and plugin record overrides
Provides a good patch base system to plug my BPT-PCE patches into
Compatible with Imperial Mail
Patch Notes
To give full credit to the work I reused, everything in bold and yellow in the description is work I reused knowingly and intentionally with his/her permission, which basically means I copied the records/values directly into xEdit and the rest of my patch is my own work that I found and completed in CK, although some may overlap with other parts of cheesetoast8's patch. Overall, I'd also like to thank cheesetoast8 for giving me advice and tips and helping me test the BPT-PCE patch, thus discovering an issue that I later solved.
Without further ado, here’s a list of patches and what they do:
BluePalaceTerrace-LegacyOfTheDragonborn-Patch.esp
This patch moves the BPT's exterior hallway area into an interior unit, moves the BPT's newly added door from outside the courtyard (where it conflicts with LOTD) to inside the courtyard, and resolves the Tamriel Worldspace and Solitude World.
BluePalaceTerrace-PalacesCastlesEnhanced-Patch.esp
This patch surgically removes the main palace interior of the BPT and adopts the main palace interior of the PCE. It then adds doors between the BPT and PCE areas, turning the whole thing into a giant palace containing all the PCE stuff, plus the BPT's terraces, corridors, courtyards, basements, and secret argon passages to the water below.
If this patch is used, PCE must be loaded after BPT. Otherwise, a lot of mischief could occur within the main interior of the Blue Palace. The patch relies on PCE's record of winning all conflicts with BPT.
BluePalaceTerrace-LOTD-PCE-Patch.esp
This patch is required if you use both the above BPT-LOTD and BPT-PCE patches. It merges and forwards the door records that were modified by both patches, so they are all live in-game.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
