About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds appropriate Khajiit and Argonian tails to your character. Accessible via AddItemMenu or via new crafting recipes.

Ever wanted to run around with a bouncy tail like a Northman or a Tallman? Now you can!

What this mod does:

Replaced male and female Khajiit and Argonian tails with new physical support variants.

viaAddItemMenu(

A suitable tail can be made on a tanning rack.

The new equippable tails can be used in all standard races and even custom races, although you may need to make some adjustments to them.

NOTE: Adding an equippable tail to the same beast race will remove both the tail and the equippable tail from the race menu; so you can actually make a tailless Argonian using this trick (see the example image).

Production notes:

I wanted to make crafting recipes as immersive as possible while maintaining a good balance with the basic game mechanics.

(Example: strips of leather made from animal hides are easier, but those animals may be difficult to remove, while fox skins are generally harder to remove, but can be removed with a shot or two.)

Suitable argon tail production process requirements:

1 Sabrecat Teeth + 12 Leather Strips

Requirements for proper Khajiit tail making:

1 Sabrecat Teeth + 3 Fox Pelts

compatibility

  • Manually replace the "femaletailargonian.nif" and "maletailargonian.nif" files from the Half Dragon Race mod

与“可比的野兽尾巴”中的那些一起。 Say "yes" when asked for coverage.

Just in case something tries to overwrite the tail mesh, put the equippable beast tail below in your mod order.

Ever wanted to run around as a Nord or High-Elf with a cool bouncy tail? Now you can!

What this mod does:

Replaces male and female Khajiit and Argonian tails with a new physics supported variant.

Adds two new equipable tails via the AddItemMenu (

The equipable tails can be crafted at a tanning rack.

The new equipable tails can be used on all standard races and even custom races, though you'll likely need to make a few tweaks for it.

Note: Adding the equipable tail to the same beast race will cancel out both the racemenu tail and the equipable version; so you can actually make a no-tailed Argonian using this trick (See images for an example).

Note on crafting:

I wanted to make the crafting recipes as immersive as possible while still having a good balance with the base game mechanics.

(Example: The Leather Strips from animal pelts are a bit easier to get but those animals can be slightly harder to take down, whereas the fox pelts are usually tougher to get but they can be taken down in one or two shots.)

Equipable Argonian Tail crafting requirements:

1 Sabrecat Tooth + 12 Leather Strips

Equipable Khajiit Tail crafting requirements:

1 Sabrecat Tooth + 3 Fox Pelts

  - Manually replace the "femaletailargonian.nif" and "maletailargonian.nif" files from Half Dragon Race mod

with the ones from Equipable Beast Tails. When asked to overwrite say 'Yes'.

Place Equipable Beast Tails lower in your mod order just in case anything tries to overwrite the tail meshes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
