About this mod Machine translation
No more projections. No more framerate spikes when looking in certain directions. This mod automatically changes ini settings to keep framerate at target levels.
describe
This mod is a SKSE plugin that keeps framerate at target levels by changing predefined ini settings between 10 levels from configuration values. It prevents crazy framerate changes caused by just looking in a certain direction during gameplay. This is especially useful for people using Ultra Trees with DynDOLOD.
It also has a console command feature that automatically runs console commands when the game is loaded or opened.
Please note that this is an advanced mod and requires knowledge of game ini settings, frame times, etc. If you need information about ini settings, I recommend reading some guides first.
I recommend using Steam/Developer/Advanced Frame Timing to check your frame times and decide which settings to use.

Install
This mod comes with fomod installer. Install using mod manager. It only contains a skse plugin dll and a configuration file which goes to "Data\Skse\Plugins".
You can choose one of the different configurations for the headset's refresh rate and modulation strength during ins.
Loading order doesn't matter. It can be installed and removed at any time in a save game.
configuration
The mod comes with an ini file: VRFpsStabilizer.ini
It has many parameters. So let's take a look at them:
[Settings] section
The EnableLog parameter is used to enable or disable logging. Level changes will be printed in the log. The log file is located at: "My Documents\My Games\Skyrim VR\SKSE\VRFpsStabilizerPlugin.log". I recommend a program like mTail to view your login game. But do not leave this parameter at 1 for normal playback as this may cause performance degradation.
The AutoConfigEnabled parameter enables/disables the Fps Stabilizer portion of the mod. You can set this to 0 if you only want to use console command functionality.
The CheckSleepDuration parameter is the duration between frame time checks. I recommend setting this higher than the maximum frame time. For example, it is 12 for 90hz and 14 for 80hz.
The MinTargetFrameTime and MaxTargetFrameTime parameters are the target frame time values this mod will try to achieve. I recommend leaving at least about 1 millisecond between them. The maximum value should be less than the maximum frame time of the current hz. You can find the maximum frame time with the following calculation: (1000/HMD refresh rate). Recommended value for 90hz: 8.5-9.5, recommended value for 80hz: 10.0-11.0
The FrameTimeChangeThreshold parameter is the required frame time change to check if another level is more suitable. The recommended value is 0.25.
The LevelChangeBackWait parameter is the wait time to change the level in the opposite direction (lower if it was recently raised, higher if it was recently lowered). The default value is 80, which corresponds to ~5 seconds. Formula: (CheckSleepDuration * 5 * LevelChangeBackWait) / 1000)
[DataLoaded] and [PostLoadGame] sections
In this section you can define console commands (e.g. taa settings, etc.) to be run when the game is first opened or loaded.
[Level#] section
In these sections from 0 to 9 you define the configuration values you want the mod to switch to. Unfortunately, not all configuration settings can be changed in-game, I found 3 of them that can be changed and also affect performance.
Enter the Config settings and separate its sections with colon (:) in the ini as follows:
[Level0]
fBlockLevel0Distance:TerrainManager = 100000
fBlockLevel1Distance:TerrainManager = 180500
fTreeLoadDistance:TerrainManager = 180500
I have provided levels from 0 to 9 in the ini file. You may need to modify these values based on performance. Make sure to use a linear change between the two levels.
The mod comes with a fomod installer so you can choose one of the different configurations for the headset's refresh rate and mod stren …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
