MJ's recovery

What does it do? :

This mod adds over fifty spells/powers to the game, reflecting the philosophy of Restoration - Build, Expand, Craft, Enchant, Modulate, Better, etc. Unless you're like paying a few pennies when starting this mod - it can be fun. Anyway, you can find a book in the Temple of Mara in Riften in the altar's brazier, which, when read, will give you a copy of the book and some introductory spells. Expanding skills (i.e. perks) throughout the game will unlock new spells and abilities based on the skill you adopt. Likewise, as you learn (don't throw the book away from your inventory), your learning of these spells or abilities will be triggered, and if you focus long enough, the "path" will also be unlocked for you. These paths start with an aura that does passive things, but as your skills improve, you'll unlock new spells that are part of that path's core gameplay.

Why should I do this? :

Because I like other mods like Apocalypse and Epic Restoration that remove the undead, heal yourself, and lose your entire mana pool in an attempt to block fire with wards, freeing up more potential from the restoration tree. I don't want to steal for certain quests, nor do I want to go on adventurous quests and kill poor overlords to escape from home. So I included something in the prayer spells and primal auras that govern quests that force you to do evil things. It also adds a lot of facets to the recovery tree, keeping it balanced on the "Master" level of the game (knock yourself out if you want kills from "Legend" with a fully healthy Bandit Chief animation).

What are some interesting spells?

Each path has a feel-good spell to cast, usually it's one of the first two spells you get, and the latter one has a lot of power. If you are being chased by a Saber Cat, you can cast "Sleep" on him at any time as long as you get it in time. If you want a bounty but don't want to slaughter a bunch of bandits, you can introduce Change of Heart into it, which will kill them long enough to mark them for death before turning them into "not bandits or bandits". "Celestial Steed". If you think illusions should be more aggressive, then I made "Plasma Arrow", which combines fire and lightning damage. Maybe you want to ride twice as fast as a normal horse in "Celestial Steed". Or if you are in combat and are a humble artist, a group of creatures will pop up out of nowhere and attack the enemy with the "Piper" ability... and you may be trapped in a corridor waiting for the battle to end. Alternatively, you can use " Simulacrum" make a phantom and then fight it. Or maybe you see a powerful mage next to a weak one and you just want to "1v1 me bro" against the powerful mage, cast "Debate" on it, transport you both to another realm, and before that, You try to drain him of mana to kill you or, if you're just lazy and step into one of those paths, you can cast Celestial Wrath to have a chance of killing everyone. There are more spells: I spent the better part of three months on this.

question?

I tried to eliminate a lot of bugs, but I couldn't fix them all. Just...save often.

One bug that confused me was that sometimes you'd start to get lost in the Resume experience - maybe it was because I was playing a Dead Man or something like that for a while. I try to clean this stuff up, but it can be challenging.

If other mods adjust the quest, this may cause conflicts. This mod handles daedra missions and adds new stages to fail them. It also revamped some of the main storylines. It didn't live up to my expectations, but it was okay for the time being. But at least you don't have to listen to Brynjolf's plans anymore... although he may approach you and mutter "huh?" If you want Balimund to …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
